Eagle View Motel & Retreat - Motel in Guttenberg - 115 Acre St, USA

This is a nice little motel, with great views of the river. Grounds were nice, with amenities for guests to use. No, there is no ice or soda machine, as some complained about. Not a huge deal, plan ahead or run down the hill to the station or store. The room was small but clean, yet had some issues & was not quite finished. The corner cabinet was kind of a make shift cabinet/counter top. Counter top was not finished/correct size for the cabinet it was sitting on. So looked a little "off". There was also a carpet patch right in front of the bathroom, which didn't look right & was hard not to stumble/trip on it, when using the bathroom. There were stains all over the carpet as well, so that looked unappealing. Bed was okay, but not very comfortable to me. It was rather hard in my opinion. I realize it's not a big chain motel/hotel, but just feel for price paid, the room should have been more finished & carpet could have been cleaner.

We stayed at the Eagle View motel on our way to the Mayo Clinic. It was the highlight of our trip. When we arrived and saw the beautiful view of the Mississippi River, it was exactly what we were hoping for. Our room was spotless and had a great view. We had our dog with us, so thank-you for allowing dogs. There was no dog smell in the room for those of you who are not bringing one. As mentioned in other reviews, you do not check in and there’s no front desk, there’s a key code for the door and the process went smoothly. ||The staff was extremely helpful and welcoming. The owner was out of town but still made sure we were well taken care of. ||If you are looking for a small, friendly, cute hotel with stunning views of the majestic Mississippi this is the place for you. ||We never saw an eagle but enjoyed watching the birds on the feeders. We drove through the adorable downtown before we had dinner. We will definitely come back when we have more time to explore the area, check out the town and enjoy the hospitality of the Eagle View motel.

What a wonderful place! The views are outstanding and the room was adorable. We were treated like family and had a great time chatting with many wonderful people around a campfire in the evening. Can't wait to return!

Staying with Kyle was fantastic! His friendliness and hospitality are unmatched. Eagle View is a comfort oasis. The room was beautiful, beyond clean, and the views unmatched. We were traveling across country and only stayed one day. If not for our itinerary we would have gladly stayed a few days. Guttenberg is a very cute town, one we definitely want to visit again. We had a very pleasant one night stay at this delightful motel! It was an extension of a 5 day trip to avoid driving too long on the last day home. It was chosen for the location and the view, and maybe because I like to photograph eagles when I can! (Unfortunately we saw none, our stay was too brief!)The room was clean, much cleaner than the one we stayed in for the previous four days, which was a major chain hotel (I won't mention the name, but we won't use their services in the future!). This is a beautiful spot to stay, no frills but, again, very clean and a comfortable bed. The property is well kept and did I mention the view? We will return to stay a few days when the seasons change and maybe see some migratory birds.

We were not sure what to expect when we drove up and there was no one to be found and no office for checking in. But a quick phone call and the owner confirmed our registration and gave us a key code for entering our room. He was extremely polite and accommodating. | Once we unloaded our luggage, we poured a glass of wine and went outside for the view. We sat in the Adirondack chairs overlooking the river. We enjoyed watching the birds at the many feeders. There was also a fire pit and grill which we did not use. | The room was quite comfortable. We enjoyed the little extras like the white noise machine and the many usb ports. The room had the usual amenities as well…coffee, microwave, fridge, hair dryer, etc. Breakfast is not included but we had a nice breakfast in town after watching the sun rise over the Mississippi. | I highly recommend a stay at the Eagle View.

Quiet, unassuming motel. The beds were hard, but the ambiance more than made up for it. Friendly staff/caretakers. Firepit and chairs outside, overlooking the Mississippi.

My husband and I had a great stay. The caretakers were very accommodating. Motorcycles are welcomed which was a plus. We stayed at the king and queen suites. The room was very clean and very comfortable. The view of the Mississippi River was great from the sky deck. Hope we can make it in the fall for the change in the scenery. Will recommend for sure
