This price is about $83.00 smoking king size bed for 1 night. Walked in and the front piece of the air conditioner wasn't even secured to the a.c. unit. Bring extra towels and wash clothes. The toilet paper holder isn't secured in the wall, it just flops around. There was melted wax on the carpet of the floor that no one had even bothered to actually try and get off the carpet. No ashtrays anywhere in the room, remember I got a smoking room. The bed was comfortable with only 3 pillows on it. So, if there is more than 1 person staying there I'd bring extra pillows. Checkout is at 11 a.m. I had car trouble while I was there and was trying to get my car battery charged real quick. At 10:50a.m.the owner was telling me I needed to get my things out of the room so housekeeping could clean. She did not care to wait 10 min and was not nice at all. If your going to run a business and you would like your customers to visit your establishment again I would advise them to show just a little human decency.
You can tell that the room door was kicked in at some point and that the bathroom door was also kicked in. The toilet was barely connected to the floor. The shower was nice and the beds were comfortable. The gentleman that checked us in and out was very nice and professional. I told them about the toilet and they said they were going to fix it right away. Overall not bad for the price and the room was clean so not too bad of a stop for the night.
Room is dirty and smells of mold. Had a late night check in with a reservation when we arrived no air on in room felt to be 100degrees or higher in the room 1 hr in and still net cooled off you would think that if you had a guaranteed reservation you would think past your nose and turn the air on so it would be cool. Cobwebs all over the room long black hairs in the tub and on the toilet. Just drive passed and stay somewhere else for your own health
We were on our way to drop off my son at Ole Miss and needed a place to stay for a night. Cairo was the perfect distance, so we looked for places nearby. Cairo is a sad, abandoned town that used to be a bustling port city at the confluence of the Ohio and Mississippi Rivers. But there is virtually nothing left of it, as we found out when we tried to find a breakfast place. ||We reluctantly booked a night at the Eagle Inn since we prefer locally owned places, and there were only two other hotels nearby, both low end chains. We were pleasantly surprised. When we went to check in, I was having second thoughts and wondered if we should just keep going until we found a Holiday Inn Express or Marriott Courtyard. It seemed awfully run down, although the proprietor was nice. ||We drove over to our room (it’s a real motel), opened the door and found a clean, fairly updated room. The beds were comfortable, the shower was great, and we didn’t have any of the smell that others have complained of. Granted, we spent barely any awake-time there, but it was what we needed for a great price: clean, comfortable, and convenient. Just don’t expect to find breakfast in Cairo.
Doesn't look real fancy on the outside, but the room were really nice. For $55.00 DEFINITELY worth the money!!! Clean and updated. Pillows were so-so but bed was nice and comfortable. Phone didn't work but I didn't care because we arrived at 2:00 a.m. and went right to sleep. Hair dryers in the room. I would stay here again.
The room for the price was nice and clean. It was close to the highway and other restaurants. It had a refrigerator and a coffee maker inside the room. The air conditioner was not on when we checked in so the room was hot from the June weather. It smelled musty. It takes a half hour to 45 minutes for the room to cool and the smell to go away. It must be a cost control measure. ||||The customer service was lacking when I checked in. There was no explanation of ammeneties. I had to call later for the Wi-Fi password. I had to ask about the gym next door that was included in the stay. I can only imagine how many prior customers did not know they could have used the gym.
The owners have no handle on the English language. Trying to communicate is near to impossible. Room was not clean, dirty wash cloth hanging on the shower curtain. It says the is a hair dryer but nope. When to office to ask for one, lady I spoke with I do not think understood what I was asking. It's cheep for a reason, you get what you pay for. Just keep driving.
Smell of room so bad make you vomit. Dirty.. bugs and roaches.. the smell though was unbelievable disgusting.. would've left was late dark couldn't drive. Soon as daylight was 30 min. Away I was in car leaving.. no one could've slept in that smell and filth
