While entering the North Lake Tahoe area, the first thing you can see is Eagle falls streaming down the mountains towards Lake Tahoe. The Eagle falls originates from Eagle lake and culminates at Lake Tahoe. There is a trail to the Eagle Lake, but we didn't do the trail. But we saw the lake from the road and visited the end of the lake at the Emerald Bay State Park.
To reach the end of the lake we had to hike the challenging 0.6 miles from the Emerald Bay State Park Lookout to the Emerald Bay visitor center. There is a bridge to see the lake from up close. When we reached there the falls was flowing like crazy. We were amazed to see the falls and took a lot of photos.
For the Eagle Lake Trail, we couldn't do the trail since we didn't get the parking lot. The parking lot is too small. So if you go there during peak hours, you need to find roadside parking.
Limited parking and a very popular hike. Come before 10am or it will be a challenge to find any parking. Bring water if you intend to go to eagle lake. Wear appropriate trail footwear, as it is rocky in some area. If you have bad knees, walking sticks will help with the elevation gain going towards the lake. Aside from that, have fun and don't forget to pack out what you bring in!
Beautiful hike over waterfalls and surrounded by many awesome views of the mountains, ending at a smaller lake in the hills, Eagle Lake. Not that long, however it is rather steep and there are a lot of stairs. I enjoyed it.
Eagle Falls is a great smaller waterfall on the East shore of Lake Tahoe near Emerald Bay. The hike to the waterfall from the parking area is only a quarter mile so easy to access with just some incline to reach. There is a bridge which crosses the top of the falls to the other side of the stream. A great smaller and easily accessible waterfall to check out.
Quick hike to Eagle Falls from the parking. Total hike can be done in less than 30mins. It's a easy hike but does involve stepping on uneven makeshift steps made of rocks.
Waterfall alone is small it has short fall but view from bridge is peaceful. View of the Lake Tahoe is added bonus.
There is pay station in the parking lot.
Beautiful place to visit with your family. I recommend that you arrive early because the place usually fills up, there is not enough space to park a car and you would have to walk 10 to 15 minutes.
It’s a kid friendly easy hike loop. Absolutely gorgeous views of the falls, you can dip as well if you want to. The water is soo clean and no insects as well. Definitely recommend as a part of Tahoe itinerary.
Beautiful glassy lake. Beautiful views all around. Eagle falls to Eagle lake. Uphill climbs most of the way there with perfect stopping points. Wear boots or waterproof shoes as there are still areas that you'll be slushing through. Free to enter.

The hotel is new and beautiful. The rooms were extremely clean and well stocked, even the kitchen had everything we could potentially want! The bed was super comfortable, the heated floors in the bathroom were great.

Took this trail to go to Cascade Falls. It's flat for the first 5 mins or so and then becomes rocky and risky at the corners.
There is some construction work going on in the area so they have put up temporary boards marking the trail. Good job!

Went with my daughter and husband and came from the heavenly line since the wait at the resort was 2 hours! They helped us right away and we were able to get all the equipment we needed in a reasonable time frame. The staff are super friendly and acc
Beautiful hike to Eagle Lake that took about 30 min after the bridge. This time of year there was snow and ice on the trail that made it slippery but was worth the quick trip up and back.
The Mt. Tallac trail is an amazing trail to hike in Lake Tahoe. It isn't easy, about 4.5 miles from the trail head to the summit with about 3,300 feet of elevation gain. The second half of the trail is mostly all rock and is very steep in parts. The
The place is really nice, the water is crystal clear but very cold. It's worth it to pay the $5.00 fee to see this beautiful place. In the middle of it there's an old house, scary but beautiful.
Lake Tahoe is beautiful. Lots of trees, clear water, and we had blue skies. Mountain scenery around the water. It was a lovely vacation. I enjoyed it very much.
Cascade Falls is a beautiful waterfall on the west shore of Lake Tahoe. It is easily accessible and is only about a .75 mile hike from the main road to the falls. The views of Lake Tahoe and Cascade Lake along the way to the falls are fantastic, and
This place is gorgeous. We came at the end of May. WOW!!! This is beautiful. You have to see the photos because words just don't begin to describe the beauty ð
