Our favorite winter destination! This is an excellent place to teach kids to ski! Not into skiing? Bring your sleds, ice skates, snow shoes, or cross country skis! There is grisly something for everyone. There is a tow rope for the ski hill. The warming hut usually sells snacks and provides bathroom use. Due to Covid there is currently no hanging out in the hut. Staff is always so kind.
One of the best places I have ever been to. Free ski lift,ice ring, and sleding. If you learning how to ski this place is for you. There is a little cafe on the top with very cheap prices. So much fun for the kids (and not only :)) during winter time.
Such a unique way to literally pick your own path when hiking ! If it's your 1st time going highly recommend either taking the map, or taking a picture of the map when you walk in so you don't pick a path you or you're family cannot take.

The hike as part of the Chester challenge didn't seem to exist. Nice signage for dynamite hill always said no hiking. Trail that we took seemed little used.
Great place to take the kids for skiing and sledding. Hot coffee and snacks available at concession cabin.
Lots of parking, and the trailhead was easy to find. There is a peremiter trail that is rolling. Beautiful ferns cover the forest floor. It is part of a downhill ski area. A couple people in our group were stung by bees. It is also part of the Chester Challenge. Complete 6 of 8 local hikes to collect a pin/patch.
This place is awesome, with fun for all ages. Great sledding, snow boarding, skiing, and ice skating, all free and open to the public. There is a tow line for the snow boarders and skiers. The ice skating rink is covered and has boards and goal nets, for some fun hockey games. The rink is very small, so don't expect to play full 5-on-5 hockey. There are even skate changing benches along the back wall, and it is lighted. My family loves visiting this place!
