Dutch Creek Farm Animal Park - Zoo in Shipshewana - 6255 N 1000 W, USA

It is the most beautiful place for children at all. There are a lot of animals and my children enjoyed a lot. When you enter, you will pay two dollars for each child who wants to feed the animals and ride horses. There is a small and a large horse for $ 5, and there is a lot of fun with the small animals. Then we took ice cream. Soon we didn't feel it and the Amish people were so nice 🤗my kids were asking me to go again

I took my 13 and 11 year old grandkids yesterday. I've never been before but friends recommended it. The wagon ride was a good experience overall. They made many stops and we were able to feed the animals that came up to the wagon. The problem I experienced was with the petting farm area. It was quite warm and most of the animals did not have shelter from the Sun. If there was a shelter, all of the animals couldn't fit in it. Many of the animals did not have water. There were birds without water. And there was no supervision around that area. Many of the kids were chasing birds in the aviary even though there were signs and their parents were there. Several of the animals had goopy eyes and maggots. I have seen other reviews with the same concerns so I hope someone addresses it soon.

I've been going there for three summers in a row and every time it's so much fun, the interaction with the different animals is amazing! Don't forget the wagon ride!

We had the best time at Dutch Creek Farm! The animals were interactive and seemed happy and well taken care of. My husband grew up on a farm and was so happy to see this. Our 3 year old loved being able to pet all of the animals. The wagon ride was most definitely the highlight. I was shocked that food for the animals is included.

This is a wonderful place! Great for kids, there was so much interaction with animals. I’d choose this over a zoo any day!

My girls (9 & 13) had a blast here! They got to see many animals that they had never seen before, and feed them! The wagon guide was knowledgeable and entertaining, and unlike many of these types of attractions, they will keep refilling your food bucket as much as you want! The petting zoo was also a hit, and all the animals were friendly. Definitely a great value and the highlight of our trip!

The Dutch Creek Animal Park was an awesome undiscovered gem until just today. My son and I had a great time. Honestly, I was entertained just watching his expressions! It was surprising to see elk, buffalo, water buffalo, zebra, fox, monkeys, fallow deer, doves, ostrich, long horns, parrots, and countless hybrid herd animals so close to my home city. This place is maintained by people who obviously care about the 'pets', anyone is able to hand feed nearly everything they have along the wagon ride. The gargantuan antlers and horns in such close proximity was QUITE EXCITING! I definitely recommend this place for a Zoo type experience on a budget. Take a bottle of water, its not a short ride (40 minutes is my best guess).

This place was amazing! I had never been here before and just found it on Google so we all went on a whim. We had people ages 2-90 and everyone had a great time. I have never been to any place like this with such fun and freedom to explore. Gotta do the wagon ride. Highly recommend!
