I like this place that I discovered while exploring Oakland. The restroom is clean and the coffee is amazing. I ordered a Dirty Chai Latte which was delicious. Fortunately, they had lactose-free milk available for the coffee. When I asked for a phone charger, one of the baristas kindly brought it to me with a smile. The music wasn't too loud so it was great for studying. I also took some photos and enjoyed the view of downtown while sipping my coffee.
Coffee was fine though somewhat pricier than nearby coffee shops (12oz drip was $4.25). No food visibily available until the afternoon. Someone else asked for a croissant and was told that they would call her when one became available. Service was great.
A fair amount of seating (approx a dozen seats), many with outlet access. Wifi was fine but unreliable; I got dropped every 1-2 hours. It took about 3-4 minutes to get back online. Windows aren't shaded so during parts of the day it's quite bright.
Building is pretty cool and location is quite central to downtown Oakland. But this can also make staying there somewhat noisy at times (for example from people playing music in the plaza outside).
I’ve been here a few times and it’s always great. Their coffee is amazing. Special shout-out today to the beautiful Black woman who made me a classic latte with half and half, at her recommendation. It is the best coffee I have ever had! It’s creamy and delicious and the coffee has a wonderful flavor. Highly recommend Dusk.
Oh, also, the staff is always genuinely awesome. It always feels like as soon as you walk in the door you’re welcomed like family. So, yeah, I’d give them 10 stars if I could.
Binta the owner makes the best lattes! She's super friendly and cares deeply for Oakland. I love going in and seeing her, it brightens my day.
I enjoyed my latte and the server was kind and friendly. Inside is clean and well lit. They were out of most of their flavored syrups. They also had no pastries. Wifi is fast. (96.2 download/166.1 mbps upload) Nice place to work. If you need something to eat there’s Jimmy’s Deli across the street.
Good coffee, open until 8pm, friendly staff, nice place.
My new favorite cafe! Fresh open space to study and AMAZING specialty drinks. The chilled Black Sesame Latte w/ a matcha shot is the perfect morning bev!
Had a great London Fog. This is without a doubt one of the best coffee spaces in the Bay. Such a cool building! The batista (owner?) was super cool as well.
My new fave: Cute little space with a couple tables inside and out front, very sweet team behind the counter (brother & sister?). For the price of an avocado toast elsewhere, I got an avo toast AND an açaà bowl. The toast was topped with a flavor b
This coffee had been so deliciously sweet and showing a strong taste of strawberries (be aware there was no sugar involved in the cappuccino) and the baristas had both been really nice. I also got a V60 filter, which also highlighted the berry taste.
If you're like me - you love coffee - and if you're in a new area, you want to experience great coffee from a local business. I'm happy to report modern coffee meets that challenge head on and impressively!

This is the best place to buy freshly roasted, whole been coffee right from the factory. The Organic Balthazar and Guatemala Antigua are my favorites. If you love coffee, it's worth the drive if you're not close. They've been doing it for almost 100

I use to come here often when I worked in the neighborhood and it's changed over the year(s) as the pandemic has started to come to and end ð¤ð½. There isn't a ton of space inside but they do have a few seating arrangements outside. However, I do
This is the best place to grab a coffee and a pastry on your way to Lake Merritt! Friendly staff and great food offerings. I love that they typically have treats out for your dogs.

Equator has the best black coffee Iâve had in the Bay Area. Rich flavor that warms your soul in the morning!
The almond croissant is also delicious, baked fresh daily from Firebrand.
