I worked there for almost 3 years and I can tell you at first they seem great to work for but then they turn on you and the blame game starts. They find any reason to get rid of you and they don't even try to hide the fact that their own incompetentance is the reason why
As a former employee for almost three years who worked as an online inspector on the 2nd shift for most of my employment, I wouldn't recommend anyone to work in the Screening Department. No matter how great a printer or inspector you are, the first and third shifts will never respect your work and will complain, while most of the jobs that have a high fallout rate are from these two shifts.
Also, if the plant manager wants to remove some people, he'll probably "clean house" on the 2nd shift for the third time. I was working fine on 2nd shift and one day I was told, including my coworkers and supervisor, that we don't have to report to work until further notice. I heard that before about 2~ years I began work there, the plant manager was newly hired and wanted the department to have a good rate so he "clean house" on the entire 2nd shift like me in 2022, and I was able to confirm the story while working at Great Lakes Cheese with a former employee that was in the first "clean house" by the plant manager.
Also, the department doesn't seem to have a good chain of command and communication. Everyone has been telling the company and they think they figured out how, but I don't think so. In my almost three years there, the same lady caused the same racial incident with another team member twice, once at the beginning and end of my employment, and looks like the company didn't handle it well. Let's just say that I kind of got first-hand experience as well too, on my first day and days afterward, but wasn't as hideous as the act of her calling him by a racial slur.
Overall experience was great working with my fellow team members on the 2nd shift, but not with first nor third shift.
Best place I have ever worked! They make you feel valuable and treat you as an equal! Great enthusiasm and just all out great place to work!
