Dunkin' - Coffee shop in Houlton - 246 North St, USA

Tried this place as I felt stupid going to McDonald's where nothing particularly sucks but nothing is actually that good either. It's a safe coward's choice. So, perhaps it's worth the extra half mile down the road to Dunkin and I'd heard that the coffee was good. The good news is that the coffee, at least the Midnight variety, is tremendous. I'd drink that stuff all day. The bad news is that I'd be a nervous wreck if I did as it's also really, really caffeine heavy. Not a bad thing, just can't drink a load of it without being jittery for hours. Obvious really, though I could drink at least as much of the Circle K stuff, no problem there. The food was also tremendous, I thought a donut would be a donut but theirs are better. More rich in flavor, more genuine in flavor. The chocolate actually tastes like chocolate, not sweet brown paste like I'd accepted as the norm if I didn't want to make my own. The people who work there were nice enough. What I took exception to was my impression that they think each customer has gone through the same orientation and briefing on store policy that they have. I haven't and don't plan on it. So, when I placed an advance order, went up to the counter to get it, and I get a profoundly confused look from the staff, looking around at each other as if they can't believe that I don't know you don't go to the counter after placing an order. It's in the rack to the far end of the counter. How stupid of me, I'm sorry I didn't know the rules, please forgive me. I'll be back though, the coffee is that good, I don't think I'll be preordering the donuts though. If you don't guess what's available, you just get what they feel like giving you. No blueberry? Well, you get chocolate glazed instead even though you already have two of the double chocolate, everyone wants more chocolate, right? No, I wanted the blueberry because I already had the chocolate covered. You will be relying on their common sense as to what would be a good substitution. Guess what? Common sense is not that common.

Painfully Slow, Short handed I'm sure. but waiting 35 minutes for a couple wake up wraps and ending up leaving to get back to work empty handed and hungry. possibly an app error and not the stores, i didn't bother asking any workers, because i knew I'd act all Hangry

Was the 1st time trying this coffee place and it's by far one of the best ones. The staff was really nice and helpful and their food is delicious, I only tried their hashbrowns and their bacon and omg was it ever good, it had a sauce on it and had a bit of a kick due to pepper on it and their Blue Raspberry Energy punch is really good.

Nice place to grab a cup of Joe on the run. No trucks here. Bontail in yes. Could park across the street at the bank. Friendly fast service. Great coffee! America runs on Dunkin!

Dunkin employee Kaitlyn treated me so well I thought I’d give a nice review. This is the kind of fast working, polite and friendly employee every franchise owner is looking for. I will also give credit to the other staff, because this is among the best run Dunkin's I have ever been to. You’ll immediately notice the franchise owner has decided to almost over-staff, so no customer is waiting too long and everything runs smoothly. This tells me a lot about that owner and I’m sure they’re a great person. Every time I’m up here for business I will absolutely be back because of Kaitlyn and the well-run team. Not impressive. Been here a few times and out of gas every time. Huh? Didn't have much of a donut selection left at 12pm. Huh? Coffee was fine.

When you come across young people working as a team and smiling while they're doing it, it gives you hope! Gotta love the Dunkin!!
