Dunedin Cove Motel - Motel in Dunedin - 1220 Main St, USA

Asked to change room the office said yes then told me no after I paid. $80 for a room that was clearly a $65/$70 room. Stayed multiple nights, with no linen change or soap replenishment. Convenient location, quiet over all. Decent experience.

Very disappointed in quality. You will have company at night with bugs crawling on you in your bed. Be warned if you pay Cash don't supply a Debit or Credit Card. They will in fact charge your Card at 2 AM and you will have paid the Cash Amount plus the Charge on your Account. PayPal is dealing with this Merchant for several customers. There is substantial proof they are manipulating payments. Dunedin Coves Response is "where is the receipt". Well when you don't supply a receipt to either a Cash or Credit Card. Fortunately for me your Front Desk worker gave me the Cash Receipt he had for the Day in question along with my payment history for those days prior. This was done to avoid proper Taxes with the State of Florida and Pinellas County. Same Reason why the Dunedin Cove Website doesn't have Booking just a link to a $54 or $58 Charge for their Basic Room that goes no where. That's done for the Search Algorithm of it. Then when you arrive at the Motel they state with Taxes it comes to $70 even. When all other Hotels and Motels in the Area Provide detailed Breakdowns in the Room Charges and Taxes paid to "City, County and State" There isn't proper itemization of Charges or Tax. Front Desk Employee stated their opinion was this is done on Purpose. Ultimately there are issues with "Paying" and issues with Roaches and Bedbugs. The Metal Framing of the Beds is where Roaches Hide. One night I was up all night dealing with them. Housekeeper stated this is where they were in their bed frames in their room as well. I went out and bought Ant and Roach Spray and treated my room. Which didn't ease the situation over the last three days of the six days there.

This place is a sore eye on Dunedin. The city should really consider writing these owners up for the appearance and care of this place especially being on the main road to down town. It looks like a run down trap motel. I understand some people need low income living but this place is filthy. I went to rent a uhual from the property not realizing the location and happend to see the out door pool with old broken toilets lined up around the deck and wooden planks inside the pool lined up for pirates to walk. The inside doors of the rooms were open from the janitor and it looked like scallywags had ran through the place in between dockings. Needs upgrade bad!

If you want to have a conversation with this staff just turn around and talk to the bugs. The bugs might actually do something, hints the reason why we didn't get any sleep. Hair on the sheets like the down below kind of hair. The guy "owner" won't even try to talk where you can understand him, don't get me started on the lady. Kids screaming and running all night long and not the guest kids. Just don't go! If you read the reviews and responses to them you will see this is not a place to stay. Will be contacting the BBB and health department. Stay safe!

The family that runs it are super nice very helpful my daughter was looking for something small to afford for now and they look little warn but they offer alot and taken in account they too are a small local owned company they try to make it feel at home as possible very quite and worth sameamout if you trying to get into a studio apt .. I support small business with great family values.. thankyou management for making my family safe and affordable in their time of need !!

Decent price, and they have clean towels, my advice is to carry roach spray, it's not infested, but they pop up outta nowhere. Might want to bring your own cleaning supplies , to deep clean the floors. No swimming pool. So this morning I showed the owner of the hotel how disgusting their floors were I'm kind of out on the streets right now so I was hoping to provide my professional cleaning services in exchange for a percentage off or something, his answer To me was because they are not a high rated motel they don't clean like a five-star hotel because that would cost more money and they're trying to make money, 🤔 which made no sense to me because if you were trying to make money you would make sure that your rooms were immaculately clean so that way people don't feel gross when they get out of the shower, just saying🤷🏻‍♀️

Quest, no bugs, dirty, needs painted, needs newer appliances, no view, too expensive, not much to near by

Very clean,no bugs.The management is very friendly and does do drama so it was nice and quiet. I enjoyed my stay fasho. You Definitely should check um out if u looking for very low prices and a clean room.
