We stayed in the blue oak room.||The breakfast tasted good, the location was perfect and the room and lodging were very cute and comfortable. We really liked the staff. ||The bed and bedding left something to be desired. The bed felt as if though it has broken down over time and the pillows were lumpy.||The owner had indicated the porch had been scrapped and was getting refinished. However, the leaves clearly hadn’t been blown off for quite a while, and everything was covered with sap, ||Im not certain for the price, we will stay here again.
The Dunbar Inn is in a great location in Murphys. We enjoyed a wonderful made to order breakfast out on the porch. Our room was beautiful and the temperature was perfect with no noise. The one negative and an important one is the bed was not very comfortable and was noisy with any movement. Fix that and we would give 5 stars.
We've never experienced such a wonderful B& B as the Dunbar House in Murphy, Ca. I certainly made the right choice booking a room there. From the communications sent explaining every detail to make your arrival and stay go smoothly simply couldn't have been better.|Upon arrival fresh chocolate chip cookies, a variety of coffee's and tea's were waiting for you in the dinning room. We enjoyed siiting in the amazing living room listening to smooth jazz as we relaxed in the soft leather couch and chairs. The antique furniture, shelves filled with so many books that a library would be jealous added to a luxurious feeling of being in another time and place (well done Michael)!!!|Our bedroom and bath were 5 stars! Down pillows to die for. All the amenities you need in the bathroom and bedroom were there. Just relax and take it all in is what we did for a couple hours before going to dinner.| Our sleep was heavenly that evening. |Morning breakfast was incredible. We actually were ordering it from a menu provided to us by Beverly who was so friendly along with being a great cook...thanks again Beverly! |You should certainly stay at The Dunbar House if you're visiting Murphy.|We're returning as soon as possible!
This is a lovely property right in downtown Murphys. We were able to walk everywhere which was convenient. Our room was very nice, the bed was comfy and the bathroom was spacious and modern. Loved having bathrobes too. Breakfast was delicious. We would definitely stay again!
This is the best place to stay if you are visiting Murphys! From the rooms to the wonderful fresh made breakfast to order, one can not go wrong!! The pillows are soft and beds are firm but not stiff! The grounds are beautiful! Everything is so close to the hotel, all within walking distance. Once you park your car, you won't need it again until you leave!
My husband and I loved our stay at the Dunbar House! Communication from the host was excellent (directions for check-in, inquiring about special requests). The property itself was beautiful and well kept (modern, beautiful, and clean rooms with historical charm). The service and breakfast were wonderful (there were several breakfast options, we opted to eat outside on the porch and had a beautiful view of the lush grass and gardens). I highly recommend the Dunbar House in Murphys (walking distance to cute shops, tasting rooms, and restaurants) for a fun and relaxing getaway!
We had a truly incredible experience while staying here. We have stayed at multiple B&Bs and this might just be the best one we've ever stayed at! First off, the house is very well maintained. It's clean and comfortable. The room we stayed in had a lovely balcony that we used a lot. In addition to the house and property, the hospitality was truly next level. We let them know ahead of time of our dietary preferences and they went out of their way to accommodate us - even making us a special breakfast! The surrounding area is also very cute and it's an easy drive to some great locations! Cannot recommend this B&B enough!
This was a last minute stay in Murphy’s and the Dunbar House was amazing! So clean and everything was very comfortable. Common areas were very nice as well. The bathroom in our room (The Ponderosa) was gorgeous!|Breakfast was very good and Marie was very accommodating.|We would stay here again without any hesitation!
We loved everything ordered. Beer is always great. The food even better. Didnât get a photo of the plates we had for lunch but will come back and try more options.
The cave itself is really interesting. Good pacing in the tour even though it's quite a ways down a 160 feet, the the gift shop is friendly and easy to navigate. The outside area has lots of shaded areas when you're waiting for the tour to start or j
I recently took the two hour drive from the Rocklin area to see Patti La Belle and Gladys Knight at the Ironstone Amphitheatre. We purchased reserved seats. Great view of the stage. And for those who would rather watch their live performance with an
Very spacious room although a bit old and heater a bit dated. We got a suit with a living room and one bed room, easily could sleep 5 for prices that are just 1 queen bed else where. The service is good and very accommodating. Location good, right n
Love the GF crust. Half salads nice and big. Delicious pinnacle beer. Wonderful outdoorsy setting with view of the street. We came for the Firewood Pizza but plan on exploring the cute town with lots of wineryâs.
