My sister and I recently visited Vicksburg, MS, drawn by its charm and rich history. While the town itself exceeded our expectations with its delightful character, what truly made our trip unforgettable was our stay at the Duff Green Mansion. This quaint bed and breakfast offers spacious rooms beautifully adorned with period furniture, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The beds are exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a restful night’s sleep. On warm afternoons, you can unwind by their lovely pool, adding a touch of relaxation to your stay.|One of the highlights of our visit was the breakfast—a true Southern culinary experience. The freshly made biscuits, in particular, were a delicious treat that we looked forward to each morning. What set this experience apart was the exceptional staff, who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was memorable. Their dedication to hospitality made us feel genuinely cared for. We were so impressed that we are already planning to return for Christmas.

We were so glad to find Duff Green Mansion. We stayed in the Hideaway apartment. The rooms were charmingly decorated and very cozy. The bed was so comfortable and the pillows were luxuriously soft. In the morning we were greeted with a delicious breakfast in the main dining room. Breakfast started with a cup of fruit, then quiche and the best savory grits I ever had. For drinks we had orange juice and perfectly made coffee. All this was brought to us by Latania, who was a gracious hostess and made us feel like family. It was a wonderful experience and I plan on returning to Duff Green Mansion, many more times in the future.

What a wonderful place. We loved it. It is a beautiful historic mansion with elegant rooms. An amazing breakfast is served at an elegantly dressed table after which a tour around the house with an extremely and professional guide is offered. The mansion is at a perfect location. Definitely a place to stay!

Delicious breakfast at 8:30a each morning, charming rooms, and a must do house tour right in the heart of Vicksburg. There are many things to do nearby and the pool is perfect to cool off after a day of touring the town. The rooms and hotel are historical so keep that in mind when you book your stay, it’s not a Hilton with fancy high end beds, pillows, and amenities, but they are perfectly comfy for a few nights stay.

Beautiful antebellum mansion in the heart of Vicksburg. Absolutely gorgeous. Check in was very smooth, concierge is extremely polite and helpful. Rooms were nice size and comfy. The back yard by the pool was absolutely gorgeous and extremely peaceful. Glad we chose Duff Green on our trip. Breakfast was absolutely amazing!!!! House tour is a must do. Money extremely well spent.

I was in town and was looking for a place to stay. I found the Duff Green, and it was only a few dollars more than a usual hotel, so I thought, why not.|The home is filled with antiques, which was neat, and I enjoyed the feel of the history. The bed was super comfortable, and the pillows were perfect. There was a nice looking pool, however I did not use it.|The house is in walking distance of the old town of Vicksburg, so an evening walk was relaxing. The breakfast was good, but it was the very pleasant young lady, who made it welcoming.|If I ever return to Vicksburg, I will definitely try to stay here again, thank you.

My husband and I stayed one night passing through Vicksburg on our way to the the Gulf Coast. Tonya was super accommodating when our room at the Halpino was not ready and offered us a complimentary upgrade to a room inside the Mansion (Camellia). They were still cleaning our room when we brought in our luggage, it that didn't bother us. Check in and out was breezy. The entire staff we interacted with were very friendly and all patrons were respectful and quiet at night. It was also a very quiet and safe neighborhood! The bed was comfortable, amenities were fine, and the history and decorations were top notch! We had yummy chicken and waffles for breakfast at 8:30 A.M. the next morning. The mansion was about 2 minutes from downtown where there is plenty to do, see, and eat with friends and family! I highly recommend staying at least once!

I want so bad to give this place 5 stars but there’s just so many reasons I can’t. First the good stuff. Whoever answers the phone (a guy and a lady) are so polite and kind and I feel like if they were there in person maybe the whole stay would have been better. Their outdoor pool is great for a late night swim after a long hot day (it was honestly the best thing about the stay) and unfortunately that’s as far as the good stuff goes 😭 we stayed in the green suite and unfortunately all the beds are pretty firm and you can’t turn the air down past 72 degree which the combination makes for a rough night 😅 While loading our bags in the car to leave the young gentleman there stopped me at the door and gestured me to kiss him on the cheek I immediately got a pit in my stomach as I realized with all the up and down of packing up my 10 year old daughter had not been by my side the whole time. This made me very uneasy but we still wanted to stay for this amazing breakfast I heard about on all the reviews! The presentation of breakfast is amazing five star presentation but again unfortunately we just couldn’t stomach it. 2 of the 6 people with us tried it and didn’t get past a bite. I asked my brother in law his opinion and he said the fruit was good. The lady who serves the breakfast speaks nice but comes off cold and not welcoming maybe it was just to us. We didn’t stay for the tour. We did travel with 3 kids and 3 adults and I’m thinking maybe this place is perfect for older adults (seniors) and maybe they would have a good time and maybe that’s where all the great reviews are coming from but for a youngish family with kids just the kiss gesture alone was enough for me to not want to stay again or recommend the stay.
