Du Wayne Motel - Featured Reviews (154)
Quaint little motel. Dirty and kinda cruddy though. Closet door had its doorknob broken off, when I finally opened it I was greeted with mold on the door, spider Webs everywhere and moldy carpet. The shower was DIRTY and rusty. Had to let the shower run for a few minutes to wash the dirt away. Went in with flip-flops. Shower head was not giving the proper Stream. Seemed like it was clogged. The room itself was somewhat dirty. The bed was extremely comfortable though. The smoke alarm was INSIDE the drawer instead of ON the wall. Price wise, it could be cheaper due to the state of the room. $75 for the room isn't bad, but for another 5-10 bucks you can stay at the local CLEAN motel6 with properly working showers. Would I stay there again? Probably if I didn't have any other choice.
Dirty, woke up at 7a like mufasas hiyennas scratching my back and hand for my dear life. Owner tells me it’s not BBS but sees a bug on the bed and says that’s not bed bug. Gross but you see my big bug bits on my back and hand. He switched my room but still on thanksgiving day to wake up to bed bugs
I am a practicing Zen buddhist. I try not to be attached to any negative ideas but this place is not great. I was given a smoking room and I don't smoke. The room is filthy and smells. The refrigerator dosen't work and smells. I had to wear shower shoes because the shower has black mold. I would not recommend it here
Disgusting. Bed bugs on the pillows. Toilet won't flush. Super smelly. All lights wouldn't work except for one. Room looks like it hasn't been cleaned in days. Paid $60 told them about the bed bugs and he gave my money back and asked for the keys. Had no place else to go and asked him for another room and he said there were no more then I asked can I at least get a discount because the room is terrible and he said no, no money back. Wouldn't help unstop the toilet. Or help with the tv. This is the worst motel I've ever been in.
Staff was rude and immediately stereotyped. Room was dirty. Linens were ripped and had hairs from who knows where. Lights didn't work in room, they flickered. Bathroom had rust and was dirty couldn't even shower. Chairs had stains on them. Dust was over every piece of furniture. Refrigerator was dirty. Was told the A/C was new and it seemed as old as the building itself. Stay away from this place. If I could give zero stats I would.
I’ve never stayed here, GPS has 27W501 North Avenue as the same place as the Du Wayne Motel, and Lyft makes it hard to reach out to them so I use the Du Wayne Motel on Lyft/Uber to get to work without having the GPS take me up and down North Ave like it did when I found out that the GPS for my employer was wrong, the management knew my issue because this happens all the time and no one or Google Maps has changed the address correctly, I also moved the ping and out in the correct address but it hasn’t registered yet.
The rooms were absolutely filthy. The sheets were stained in the middle, and there were wads of hair between the top and bottom sheets. The phone had crusts of brown in the ear and mouth piece holders, and the bathroom was indescribable. We did NOT stay
One star is kind of generous… the room was disgusting. There were blood and sweat stains on the sheets, hair on the blankets and pillows, and mold in the sink and shower. There was an unknown yellow liquid on the air conditioning unit, black paint on the mirror, and the door on the sink cabinet was falling off. It was a bed to sleep in after half a can of Lysol. Would not recommend.
I was looking specifically for NY style pizza and this place did not disappoint. From the moment we walked in we received a warm greeting. We ordered the 20â for the 4 of us , and they had a great beer selection. Our pizza was ready in about 12-15
UPDATED March 10,2023 A hidden gem in West Chicago. Carlos & Rick are friendly, serve fresh hot good food! I've had hot dogs with fries here many times and they are a favorite. Today I had the cheeseburger for the 1st time. Excellent and fresh

What a blast! Such an amazing place ð. So many fishing spots, benches, and everything else! Trails went on forever, never ending exploration. Just make sure to explore the people made paths, there are parts of the old mine that was there. I real
Iâve always lived near this place growing up and now that Iâm 21 I decided to come in for the first time and order a couple of drinks. Bartender was very humble, kind and attentive to all his customers, serving everyone immediately right after as
Easily my favorite park in West Chicago; probably one of the best-kept secrets of the west suburbs. Long red-gravel trails are excellent for walking/running. There is a decent playground with two play structures, swings, a small splash pad, and amp
Friendly staff, I had a torta with ham and it was the best sandwich I have ever had, I would rate it number 1 but I also recommend the cemitas poblanas, definitely a must if you're looking for welcoming, quick Mexican food!
