It's an older place but still great for spending a few nights or the weekend now and then. Close enough to hattiesburg for convenience but not in the congestion of the city. Decent rooms, great staff. The older gentleman and his wife are tentative and always helpful. Public laundry mat is very convenient and it's all at reasonable prices.
Me and my family recently stayed here as we were traveling for a wedding. I have stayed in this hotel before but when I was a teen. When we checked out they called my boyfriend and accused us of stealing the iron. When we checked into the room there was not an iron or a hairdryer and the shower head was broken. And my boyfriend tried to fix it best he could. When you call a customer and accuse them of theft that isn’t okay. We will never stay there again
Nice place. Clean and comfortable. VERY affordable rates. OnSite laundromat. Close to Camp Shelby and surrounding cities
Overall a great experience! Staff are great and rooms are clean!
Ok so on my way from Biloxi to Tuscaloosa my car broke down and this was the first place I could make it to. As a female and traveling alone I could tell right away stay on my Ps and Qs walking in the room had the typical drug/ quick meet up spot smell and feel. I always remove the comforters from hotel beds luckily I'm relocating so had sheets as well cuz theirs were maybe just stained not really sure.. the toilet paper was locked down and one ply anyways so your fingers will go through it if u can get it out. The shower handle does a 360 turn and no matter the degree I turned it couldn't get the hot to come out. The door doesn't really secure very well so I stacked the chairs and barricaded the door just in case it's all a conspiracy 😁 but I wasn't on the street or walking to the nearest hotel so it served its purpose
This was by far the most UNSANITARY, foul smelling, out of date, disgusting motel we have ever stayed at. We visited a relative stationed at Camp shelby and booked over the phone. i had no idea before arriving what it was actually and i REGRET ever Paying to stay there. we walked in and my wife pulled back the sheets as she often does on our trips to check the linens, They were COVERED in mold in the corners as if they were put on wet and had large gnats or some kind of flying insect dead and stuck between sheet and blanket. it was disgusting. the horribly rude people who tend the motel refused to refund even a portion of our money. lesson learned. we packed up after being on the road for seven hours already and drove into Hattiesburg and found a clean comfortable room with clean linens and breakfast free with Wifi and Microtell.
NEVER STAY AT DRUS IN
For a low budget motel this place is pretty basic, clean, and friendly. They DO NOT offer free breakfast, as stated on the website. We did have to wait to check-in about 15 minutes and I had to wait to check-out about 10 minutes. They don't stay at the window to greet you. They also require a $20 cash deposit that is refunded at checkout if your room checks out to be okay when you leave it. I had a deluxe room.. I think that means that you have a fridge and microwave. They do provide low economy soap and shampoo for your convenience. Dru's Inn is family owned, considering that, I guess it was worth the little wait we had. I can understand the wait.. it's not because they weren't busy. We were just ready to get into the room and get settled. Thank you for a private 2 days!
My son was attending a weekend event at Camp Shelby. I was very pleased with this room for this price. It was quiet and safe. It's a bit of a blast from the past and I love that. The rooms are large and have microwaves and refrigerators. It's right outside the main gate to Camp Shelby. There's a nice gas station with a Subway and 3 Little Pigs BBQ (yum!) next door. I saw a little Cuban cafe behind it as we were leaving and wished I had tried it, too. This is a small no frills place, but was exactly what we needed. I'd definitely go back. If you're picky about fluffy towels, bring your own. If you just want something clean to dry off with like this Army wife / boy mom, they've got it.
We had a great time staying here! Our tiny house was so clean, and comfortable. We also enjoyed renting an e-bike and riding up and down the Long Leaf Trail. We brought food in and made dinner over the campfire, but we also enjoyed sleeping in the A/
