This place offers great service and the menu has so many options. A must try multiple times to taste so many different flavors. They do have a lunch menu as well. Everything tasted fresh. The sautéed edamame was fantastic especially if you like garlic. The sportsman roll was definitely worth it. Tasty and the fish was so good. We went around 12:45 and the lunch crowd was not so bad. I'm sure it's packed at other times.

The drunken fish has very quickly become my absolute favorite place to get pho. The broth is so flavorful and rich, and tastes really fresh. The noodles taste fresh, and are not stuck together in one hard clump that breaks when you go to eat it like many other places I’ve had in Louisiana. Their chili oil also tastes very fresh. It’s absolutely delicious. I attached a photo of the meatball pho, which I know is an acquired taste. Most would probably prefer a different beef cut, but I really love the meatballs here they’re tender and delicious. I have tried many of their appetizers too and have really enjoyed all but one of them (sorry, but your calamari is mush and I do not recommend it’s the one draw back I’ve found here) but the egg rolls are actually some of the best I’ve ever had. When I first saw them I thought to myself they’re tiny but when I bit in to them, they were actually the most densely packed egg rolls I’ve ever had, very meaty, and the size of them is perfect as they are very filling. Overall, between here and the west coast, this place has the best pho I’ve ever had in my life and is an absolute gem. I would give their pho 10 stars if I could! Staff has always been very friendly, kind, and attentive as well.

I’ve gone many times and the food is good every time. This time we got the steamed pork gyozas as an appetizer. It was good I could have enough more. I had the Red devil which is when you get to cook the marinated steak on a hot stone they bring to the table. It was fun and taste especially for the price. It also came with broccoli and white rice on the side. The chicken fried rice is okay to me but my boyfriend liked it. I’ve had the pho in the past which I enjoyed.

My wife is vietnamese and I've tried pho and soups from dozens of different places here, in Houston, New Orleans and even home cooked recipes. This place is just as good if not better than all the best places. The pho, and lemon grass broth have rich flavor. Just look at the color, it's darker. Most places in BR the broth taste too watered down. If you like watery broth with little to no flavor then you might not like this place. But if you like the soup to taste good with every bite, then it will blow your mind

In town visiting it was convenient near LSU . Ordered curry chicken look like a big portion mostly veggies n 6 pieces of chicken at least they used asian rice vs american rice.. Food was placed in a nice plastic container with divider. The taste of curry was very faint and the veggie looked over cooked soggy in the weak sôs..🫣 The restaurant is well lit. Guess there like an asian fusion place.. If i was dining in I’ve sent it back for something else Sorry!!!

Where do I start… there’s just so many amazing qualities about Drunken Fish. I’ve tried everything on their menu after years of eating there. I’m not lying when I say I’d recommend anything and everything they offer. But if you’re looking for a recommendation, I’d start with the spicy lemongrass beef soup or spicy salted shrimp. Grab a sake or an imported beer while you’re dining too! So fun!

Heard about this place, and decided to give it a try today... I'm surprised I've never heard of it before! It's an older place, but it has a pretty cool vibe. I tried today's special roll, the Sober Fish Roll. I wanted to try the Drunken Fish Roll, but I liked the added ingredients in the Sober one. I'll catch that one next time cause there will be a next time! I also got the cast iron pot curry pork and it was delicious. It had a perfect amount of spice to it, and came out sizzling hot in a little cast iron pot. My server was great as well!! It's a pretty big menu with lots to choose from. Give'em a try!
