Drummond Island Historical Museum - Museum in Drummond - S Water St, USA

This was a very interesting place to visit. Our guide, Joan shared many interesting facts about the island and of her family. The artifacts were so well displayed. This was a trip down the past. A must do on Drummond Island.

This is a wealth of information, artifacts, and history about one of the best places on Earth! Come learn about the last British fort on US soil, the Native American presence here, and early settlements on Drummond Island.

Glad we stopped in, the museum though not extremely big as far as the building is concerned was packed with a wide variety of artifacts and information. The hours were 1-4 so check to make sure they're open before stopping. We spend about 45 minutes there and that was just glancing everything over and really checking out a few of the things that really grabbed our attention. I'm sure you could spend a couple hours there if you wanted to check everything out. The layout is very open, possibly not suited to young kids that can't keep their curiosity from having them grab different artifacts.

Very nice museum with friendly and knowledgeable curators. Lots of history and things to not read and look at about the history of the island and the families who lived there.

This is a wonderful Museum portraying life and Drummond Island from the mid 1800s. I highly recommend it.

The Drummond Island Historical Museum is a great place to stop and learn about the island and its history. The museum is free, but you can leave a donation if you want. The staff was very friendly and interesting to listen to. Definitely worth stopping for an hour or two when visiting Drummond Island.
