DRS is the perfect fit. The instructors are trained professionals able to modify any workout to match your specific needs. The atmosphere is fun, friendly and inclusive. I have been at DRS for over five years now. I never felt ‘athletic’ before and I was super intimidated of CrossFit before I came to DRS. However, both the coaches and members were so kind and supportive, I decided to join after my 2 week free trial. I am not exaggerating when I say that this is a safe place for people of all levels and from all different walks of life. I have now had two babies and the coaches have helped me through both pregnancies and recoveries! I have made so many friends here and am so thankful that I found this community. DRS Athletics is an amazing place. It literally has changed the lives of everyone in our family. My wife, three daughters, and I are all regulars. As noted by many other reviews, the programming is fantastic. We have gotten stronger and faster and leaner. There are two other aspects that I would like to highlight. First, zero injuries. The focus is always on quality over quantity. Recently, I was doing an overhead squat with a very low weight. I asked the coach if I should go up in weight. The answer was, ‘not yet,’ not until quality is higher. Second, the amazing culture. The DRS community is very positive. On a recent afternoon, two of our daughters were working with Coach Rosario while a cross fit class was going on. The entire gym was rocking with shouts of encouragement to the people lifting. Saturday morning classes are particularly popular and fun. On some days, I want to go to DRS just to see the people. Thank you Coach Rosario and all DRS coaches for making our family healthier, fitter, and happier.

The best gym I’ve ever belonged to. Rosario and her staff of coaches are amazing! They are welcoming, caring, and most of all excellent in their instruction. I walked in unable to do anything, and 10 months later I have gained so much fitness and strength. Beginner to advanced athletes will all benefit from working out at DRS. I highly recommend!

Our son loves the cross kit kids class. He's learning proper technique for lifting weights at an early age and has a love for physical fitness. Coach Cheryl is amazing!

We are a Navy family new to the area, so finding a home away from home was our top priority, and we found that and more at CrossFit DRS. From the moment we dropped in, we were warmly welcomed by Coach Rosario and Coach Cheryl with genuine love, care, and interest in our family's needs, not just in fitness but our overall well-being. Now, as members for over a year, DRS' programming is proven tried and true as my husband and I have both significantly grown in our fitness and in our friendships with the community too. DRS holds a special set of standards that encourages its members to move well and with purpose. The coaches are knowledgeable, well trained, and great role models of this and are always very encouraging to us members. Life will and has thrown some things at us that has caused us to readjust in how and what we can train, but the coaches at DRS have helped both my husband and me to accommodate our specific needs so that we can continue to be consistent. The equipment is well maintained, the facility is always clean and family friendly, with programs for everyone at any fitness level. We have nothing but love for this place and its people. CrossFit DRS Athletics is the gem of Huntington Beach.

I have been participating in CrossFit for about a month and a half before I had to take a trip home to Southern California. I was so worried that I would have to take a week off as I was just getting into the grove of CrossFit. However, someone at my gym said “just drop into a gym down there. After finding out what that meant, I started researching different gyms in Huntington Beach and came across DRS Athletics. I was hesitant at first but the staff at DRS went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and supported every step of the way. I worked mostly with Coach Rosario and Coach Cheryl for the week I was there and they both made me feel like family during my visit. I cannot recommend this gym enough even if you’re a local in town looking to start on your fitness journey or just an out-of-towner looking to drop in. Seeing how the whole community welcomed me just after a week, I know they treat their members like family here (the family you love seeing). The facility was beautiful with all their equipment kept in immaculate condition. I will definitely be back, as I now consider this gym my away from home, home gym.
