The location and price were perfect. The beach, view, and beachfront sitting area were perfect. Room was clean and comfy. The only negative was the loud, fighting, drinking, smoking couple in the next room that stayed up talking loudly until 1:15 am, right outside our door. There were quiet hours posted, but they didn't respect them. It was a bit scary, as they had approached me at my car when I first was going to my room to "help me with my bags." 😳😳 That reflects on them, not the hotel, so you could get that anywhere. Other than that, it was an enjoyable stay!
We stayed at Drift Hotel while we were in town to move our daughter into her first apartment. They were super accommodating and helpful (especially when we mixed up our stay dates during the holiday weekend!). The room was super nicely decorated, big fridge and microwave. I was impressed with the comfy mattress. We will be back when we come to visit. A great spot.
Charming no-frills, family-friendly motel! Small, private beach area in a quiet cove, with a nice boat dock, kayaks, paddle boards, and bicycles available free for guests! Staff was friendly, atmosphere was nice. Room was was very basic, bed was comfy, and room was quiet. Wish there had been more comfortable and shaded seating available at the beach, since that was my goal for being there. Overall, nice place!
This was our second year in a row staying at Drift in Key Largo. The hotel is very small but that is what we prefer. It’s clean and very well maintained. Castro and Dwight are both wonderful employees there who went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant and fun. Both were very friendly and we look forward to seeing the both of them again next year! |We stay in one of the suites , we love having the patio and the kitchenette. The beds are soft and comfortable. |Only negative is that there’s not a lot of hot water if you’re like me and take super long showers.
Amazing place to stay while exploring Key Largo, Islamorada and Marathon! The room was newly remodeled and super cute, fully stocked, air conditioning worked great, so convenient to have a frig, microwave, toaster and pod coffee maker (they provide the pods), the beach/dock area was breathtaking, plenty of of seating, they provide beach towels, the grounds were beautiful, kayaks, paddle board and bikes to use and the staff was the nicest I’ve encountered in a long time! We will definitely be back!
It was really chic, cozy, and it smells great. The beach was a few steps away and very private. Great if you just want to chill and get a tan. Not much around but great bars. Would definitely come back and bring my children too that’s how comfortable it made me feel.
I recently returned to Drift Key Largo a place I once considered my go-to for a camping/family gate away experience. Unfortunately, my latest stay was profoundly disappointing, primarily due to the new management.
Firstly, despite the super expensive rates, the level of service has drastically declined. The staff, who were once attentive and welcoming, now seemed indifferent and unaccommodating. Requests that were previously handled promptly and with a smile were now either ignored or met with attitude.
The cleanliness has also deteriorated. There were noticeable lapses in maintenance, such as unclean facilities and poorly maintained grounds.
To make matters worse, the air conditioning in our room was not working certainly not what we expected for the price we paid.
Additionally, the overall ambiance and experience have suffered. The serene and well-organized environment that made this place special now feels neglected. The activities and amenities that used to be well-coordinated and enjoyable are now disorganized and lack the quality they once had.
Overall, it’s disheartening to see such a drastic decline in a place that once we were always eager to go. Unless there are significant improvements, I can no longer recommend Drift Hotel and will be looking for alternative experiences for my future trips.
We booked here last year, and again this year. Check in was great all went smooth. Front desk got us in the room early. I was hopefull Dwight would be here this time and found out he was as he is the man for anything you need.( I always bring a grill and he sets me up with a stand to cook on)Also met Castro,he ran up on us on the pier, offered his personal fishing gear to fish with, and joined us after his shift. These two guys are a valuable asset to this lil spot in paradise. I plan to come again next year and look forward to the awesome friendly make yourself at home personality and service. The Drift is everything I like, low key, small little spot that's not over crowded and has the best staff. See yall next year!
My GF bought me a dive experience - 2nd diving but it's been 30 years! I'm a strong swimmer and experienced with breathing apparatus as a former firefighter, so a lot was familiar/similar and easy for me to take in. Grace was my instructor - I was th
Excellent customer service! Like exactly what you need when youâre trying to buy snorkeling 𤿠gear and you are a newbie. They have a variety of options for you to choose from. And they assist you with any questions you may have. You leave super
Great place to spend the day! Kayaking, snorkel, to a rentals available! The beaches weren't super nice to relax at as they had just been hit by a storm, but the hiking trails and areas around the park are very beautiful with the mangroves. A very na
The best place to be in Key Largo. The staff were amazing and did not steer us wrong with any recommendations for food, places to see, or recreation. Dive classes were excellent and instructors were so patient and kind, they also made it fun for the
Why 5 stars... the service, the atmosphere, clean restrooms, and delightful flavors. I am impressed at the speed and accuracy of the food. Will be back!
This is an old abandoned subdivision that was converted to a botanical park. Very peaceful. Walking/cycling trails. This park doesn't get a tremendous amount of traffic.
Aside from a couple of picnic tables and widely spaced benches, there are no am
The room was great. No complaints on service either. But if you are looking for a quiet and relaxed evening on a balcony with a nice view, think twice. The view of the waterway was nice, with some stunning boats parked along it. The morning brought
