DoubleTree by Hilton Schenectady Downtown - Hotel in Schenectady - 100 Nott Terrace, USA

Rooms were spotlessly clean. Ryan at the front desk was awesome and professional both when I checked in and checked out. My only complaint would be how the bathrooms are set up as they are tiny and don't allow for much room. However, I had a quite enjoyable stay And will use this hotel again when I'm back in Schenectady.

The on-site restaurant has a great dinner. Onion rings are awesome. This is an older hotel that has been updated. The rooms are okay. I could sit on the toilet and wash my hands with a foot in the shower at the same time. The area isn't the best but not too bad. You can tell it is a area that is being cleaned up. Downtown isn't far.

Our second time here.the room|was very clean, the bathroom was clean. Beds are so comfortable. Very nice hotel. Breakfast in the morning was great, very nice staff. The restaurant is great and the food is fresh and the service is excellent. The bar and it’s service is great too.it has a great atmosphere overall We will be back soon

It was easy to find, first time staying here. Not the best part of town, wouldn’t want to walk around to anywhere. Once we arrived we got a warm cookie, service was nice and professional. The room was spotless, small but I’m not expecting a huge room we just slept in one night. The shower was weird, had to get into the shower to turn it on so you get sprayed, weird set up but we laughed about it. It was quiet at night and the pool was nice. We will visit again!

Order the strip steak with baked potato and seasonal vegetables. Food and service were great! John and Jason went out of their way to make sure everything was just right. Also ordered the sundae with their warm chocolate chip cookie. Perfect end to an overall great meal.

Rooms are overall clean. Breakfast is not included. Bathrooms are pretty small. Location is walking distance to downtown area. Not the nicest area though and a lot closest to early around the hotel. Service isn’t great. When I asked about a pin for the peloton the front desk could have cared less they didn’t offer any help or to go check it out.

If there were a prize for most unappealing and charmless hotel, the DoubleTree would win. Reminiscent of Soviet hotels, the DoubleTree greets you with a debris-scattered welcome mat, a cavernous lobby devoid of style, and a bar that looks more like a factory assembly line. That said, a very nice person behind the desk greeted us cheerfully. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, but the hvac system sounds like a jet roaring on and off no matter the setting. I think the decibel level is truly damaging. There's nothing inviting about the immediate location--you have to drive up to Union College for a nice walk and attractive setting. We did't dine at the restaurant (breakfast is not free). The fitness center looked adequate, but I've rarely been so happy to check out of a hotel. Poor Schenectady has seen better days, and, I imagine, better hotels. If you have to stay there, go to Arthur's Market for breakfast: it will restore your spirits after a bad night.

I see there’s a lot of negative answers on here but I do agree with the small rooms not convenient the cleaning crew were all so nice and John the manager was super nice. We had 7 groups of of 4 ladies that went to bowl in states and John had left over flowers from a meeting of some sort that were left there and he let us take bouquet of flowers he was so sweet.I know the girls were very happy. I give a 4 out of 5 star thanks again Hilton and John of Schenectady
