DoubleTree by Hilton Philadelphia Center City - Hotel in Philadelphia - 237 S Broad St, USA

In town for the Mummers parade! Was pretty busy but we were pleased with the motel. We had an issue with the toilet handle broken which was very promptly fixed after I told Megan at the front desk. We were way up on the 25th floor, was quiet up there, great view of the river and a partial view of New Years fireworks. 2 of the 4 elevators broke on New Years eve and caused quite a mess of people trying to get to their rooms but it was repaired sometime during the night. It was a minor inconvenience that was quickly repaired so kudos to them for quickly getting it fixed. Everyone I talked to from desk clerks, security, bar staff, restaurant personnel were nice. Right on Broad street, withing walking distance to City Hall, Reading terminal Market. We walked to the liberty Bell and Independance Hall. We came in on Amtrak and got an uber to the motel. Bar staff was friendly, Brian was great, and the food was good! Breakfast buffet cost extra but worth it. Real eggs not the usual motel things, never seemed really busy. Room and bed was comfortable. Would surely stay there again!

Great location across the street from the theaters. Clean with security and welcome agent upon entering. Had a nice corner room that was very big. Looks like carpet is pretty new. Comfy beds. Bartender made great drinks and was very friendly. The cons …. Very noisy (bring earplugs) between road and street noises. Went up to front desk and asked for 2 bottles of water. Although I Diamond member, I was told they ran out. Ran out of water? She said we could wait for the store to reopen in about 15 minutes. My travel partner noticed the bartender was still cleaning up, asked for water and he was kind enough to pour us 2 waters in plastic cups. Terrible customer service by front desk agent but great customer service by the bartender. |Would I stay here again? I would give it another try but maybe request a room somewhere located near the back, away from the street.

the hotel did not meet my expectations windows at room was so dirty and dusty i also sow a mouse in the M floor where they serve the breakfast i took i picture for him and show it to the manager down he offered me a complementary breakfast at M floor where i found the mouse ! and it was only for one day how ever the breakfast was good except the angry man was serving us he was very mad with weird attitude but the plates always dirty its not well cleaned, at night i went down to the roof deck and i was trying to set out with my daughter we so a homeless woman taking a drugs so we just left back to our room the elevator is open for public any one can get inside and the hotel too old and rooms are very small i spent more than $300 for a night doesn’t worth it at all . and when i asked the manager for another day completely breakfasts he refused. receptionist and the staff were friendly other than the breakfast servant very disappointed very disappointed very disappointed

Just about always stay at the DoubleTree when visiting the city. Great location, right in the heart of center city. Very close to most of the places we frequent. Staff are always so friendly, even housekeeping when we run into them from time to time. Very friendly and good for a quick chat. Rooms are comfortable enough and clean. It's not fancy or luxurious, but it's not trying to be. It is a solid Hilton branded hotel that I have come to know and love. Thanks again for another great stay!

There are a number of good things I can say about this hotel, but the best is its location. If you're taking in a show, you're in the midst of the Arts district and central to just about anything else you'd like to do. The hotel itself -- including the facilities -- are good. As a Lifetime Diamond member I've stayed in a bunch of Doubletrees and this one is just fine. The beds were comfortable, the room (including the bathroom) was clean -- and that's about what you'd want. The only complaint I might have is with the restaurant in the atrium which serves breakfast (primarily via buffet) each morning. It was okay. Plenty of choices, but the preparation was just a notch off of what it should have been. The pastries and breads were kind of stale, the prepared food was overcooked...stuff like that. That said, if it's my only complaint -- this is a perfectly fine place to stay if you want a central location.

Location on Broad street it's a very nice and busy hotel. If you know your way around Philly or are good with directions then definitely get out and enjoy the city. There's a bar / restaurant downstairs drinks are a little high but not crazy. Staff was solid and the kids enjoyed the indoor pool

The hotel in general is good. The rooms have really nice views. However, we found a mouse in our room which made us really disappointed and not feeling comfortable to stay anymore at the hotel. But after that to be fair, the hotel really made it right by moving us to another nicer room as well as offering us full refund for the night. So overall I would say it was alright experience.

First off looking at this hotel from the outside it looks nice but once you go in it’s dark and dingy. Helped my mom with her check in and we checked out the room it was so dirty!! So my mom called the front desk and the lady said okay we can give you another room. So the next room was dirty also! End up getting another room and the room had hair in the bed along with genital hairs on the toilet seat! Plus the manager was rude and not helpful at all! She could have did more beings thought we came from out of state! I do not recommend this hotel save your money please
