DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Flagstaff - Featured Reviews (1710)
Room was large, but dark and dingy. Nice seating right in front of the window. Beds were comfortable. More than enough pillows provided. Bathroom was outdated, sink was cracked and filthy. Service was great the first day, then one day of partial service, then a whole day of absolutely no service. We had to ask for towels and coffee pads at the reception. From then on service was alright, but beds were only partially made. Front desk staff was friendly when approached, but until our last day there was no greeting walking by the desk. There is no continental breakfast, not even coffee in the lobby. We had breakfast at the restaurant once, it was cold and not good, service slow. A couple of times during the week we had drinks at the bar in the lobby, Anthony was an excellent bar tender, but whoever works there besides him, is inexperienced.
Spouse and I stayed here one night on Friday, beginning of Memorial Day weekend. We were very impressed with the hotel and our room. Very comfortable bed; linens on the bed and in the bath were very nice. Room and bath were both very clean. The lotion/shampoo/conditioner, body wash were higher end (cannot remember brand). Hotel was in a good location and had an onsite restaurant and bar, but we did not partake of either. There were what looked like some teen athletic teams staying, but we never heard any noise from them. So either the parents or the hotel kept that in check. The check in/out was efficient and the front desk personnel were friendly and professional. Will stay here again next time we are in the area.
Dined in the sushi restaurant Staff were attentive and food was tasty. Reception is lovely. Now the room is a different story. Room was dark on entering as room - faced wall. Once lights were turned on room was brighter enough.Room on first appearances was clean, bed comforable,, however room had a constant buzzing noise. Slept with ear plugs. Didn't help due to the pitch of the buzz. I did mention it to reception and they offered to have maintenance come and check it out. I said it would be ok (on reflection I should have asked for another room). On day two the cleaner turned on the aircon....worst mistake. It sounded like an engine starting everytime the motor kicked in. We didnt require the aircon on due to the weather but if we did, I would have checked out. I suggest asking for a top floor room as you can hear other guests above. (our guest above decided to pace around the room between 12-3am) . Thankfully I'm checking out shortly. 2 nights was def enough. I'm exhausted from the lack of sleep. What a fun relaxing holiday. Travelled all the way from Australia. Staying in a range of hotels. Some have been dated, ranging from 2 to 5 star bur none have had noise issues like these. FYI discovered others have complained about the buzz & aircon from other sites...so I guess you aren't looking at fixing the buzz anytime soon.
Edit update: Brian plz contact me on the booking details. I've tried to ring the hotel but there is no answer. I've also tried to email reservations and they email bounces back. Thanks
Great Location right next to Route 66. Bus stop outside too which we used. Staff very friendly. Hotel very clean. Pool is lovely. Room is nice and spacious. Gym is nice but small, also has indoor whirlpool. Bit of a walk to any eateries though.
Our family was very pleased with the quality of this hotel. Nestled amongst trees, clean with a spacious and well kept lobby, and comfortable beds. Amenities and details were nice. Short walk to many places. My kids enjoyed the skybridge. Only con was no complimentary coffee in the lobby. Will probably be our go to hotel in Flagstaff.
I don't have very many positive things to say. Oh, I know! The mattresses were comfortable, and the bartender made a good margarita. That's it. Where do I start with this place? First, as I check in, I am handed a map of an ongoing construction project in the parking lot that starts early mornings during our two-day stay. If our cars are in the way, they tell us, they will come knock on our hotel room door to get us to move our vehicles at dawn when construction crews arrive.... or it will be towed away at our expense. Say whaaaaaaaat??? I would NEVER have booked a room with this place if I knew early morning construction would be happening during that time! And they KNOW THAT! So, they don't tell you until you are handing them your credit card at the front desk. SHEISTY. We found nails and other construction debris in the parking lot that could easily destroy a tire. Next, we paid for connecting rooms and when we tried to open them, they were stuck closed. After some serious prying... we got them to open and saw the issue. Both doors were cracked along the outer frame and were splintered, as if they had been slammed hard. They would not close again because they were so damaged. We let the front desk know but continued to use the room anyway. There was no complimentary coffee or tea in the lobby, and you had to pay for an expensive breakfast if you wanted any in the morning... wth is up with that?? There was a coffee maker in the room, but the creamer was curdled! This is the DoubleTree and we paid good $$ to stay and there is nothing that comes with these rooms. You guys can't give us some juice or donuts or fruit in the morning? Wow. The outdoor pool says "heated", but it was absolutely freezing. We could hear people above us walking around (sounded like elephants but I'm sure they were not elephants) and a couple having a good time next door to us, which means the walls are too thin and cheaply constructed. There are no exhaust fans in the bathrooms, which means if someone drops a big one, everyone else in the room gets to enjoy the scent afterwards. The lobby was cold and sterile, with one tiny microwave for the entire hotel to share there. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone.
We had an exceptional experience in the one night we stayed coming back from a trip to the Grand Canyon. As a Hilton Diamond member, I appreciated the generosity with cookies (Double tree choco chip cookies are among my favorites!); we also received a $15/person meal credit and complementary water.|Our experience at the hotel's restaurant was great (reviewed separately). I would also like to acknowledge the exceptional service of Housekeeping Manager, Brittney.|Our room was comfortable and quiet and had a view my husband enjoyed of passing trains.
We stayed at this Doubletree in June on the way to Colorado. It is a large hotel that was pretty busy, which I’m sure is typical when it is so hot down south. The room was very nice, and the rate was cheaper than some of the other hotels. It was also very quiet, which I value over almost anything else. We found the room to be very clean and well prepared for our stay. I will definitely stay at this hotel again on my next trip to Flagstaff.
This hotel is so fun! Kids loved the rooms with disco lights and nostalgic throwback decor! Fire pit under the stars or throw some bags! Though a bit chilly the kids loved the 80 degree pool and managed even with it only being 39 degrees out. Pet fr

Maybe the best chain hotel in town. Walk a couple of blocks to plenty of places to eat, drink and shop. Beautiful, clean, spacious and light rooms. Nice breakfast, with friendly staff there and at check in. Upgraded to a corner suite.
I was pleasantly surprised! The lobby was lodge-y themed with a large wood-burning fireplace. Front desk was very helpful. The room was spacious (2 queens and pullout couch) and included a coffee bar area with Keurig, fridge, microwave, and safe tuck
I won a bet with my buddy about who had the best burrito in town. I made him eat an El Mayor from Tres Amigos. He looked me dead in the eyes and said: "you win".
Gracie Barra Flagstaff has been such a great place to watch our son learn fundamentals of life, safety and become more confident as a 6 year old. We've only been here since January 2023 and we have enjoyed every part of being involved in this academy
