I am a Diamond member and booked two rooms. Checking in with Touriya was a delight. She answered all my questions and explained how my $36 meal credit per day worked. She was very clear that it was not cumulative. Also, she gave me her business card so I might contact her during our stay. Since we were not leaving until the evening on our last day, she stored our luggage while we explored more of Boston. ||William was also excellent at the front desk. He gave suggestions on whether to take the T or Uber based on our destinations ... all very helpful. He also contacted a taxi service for us when we were ready to head to the airport on departure day.||Our rooms were very comfortable and a nice size for a downtown large city location. I will definitely stay here again.

We arrived at 9am after getting off of a cruise ship. The front desk staff were so friendly and offered to store our luggage until our room was available at 4 pm.|They provided us with a map of the city and subway. They provided us with a phone charger when we couldn’t find ours.|The room and bathroom were spacious. The bed was comfortable.|The plugs on one side of the bed did not work.|The refrigerator was sitting in the floor with the microwave on top.|The carpet throughout the hotel was very matted and dingy.|Our room was on the side facing the Tufts Medical Center Emergency Room so we heard sirens during the night.|We had breakfast at the hotel restaurant the next morning and it was very good and had huge portions.||The best thing about this hotel is the staff and its location!

My family of 4 recently stayed at the Doubletree for 2 nights and it was a good hotel. We chose it for its more affordable rates and we are HH members plus it was within walking distance of all we wanted to see and do. Rooms, particularly the carpets, could use some updating but overall clean and comfortable. Reception was very nice and helpful as we arrived really late on Friday night, they got us to our room quickly. It was nice to also have breakfast options, they have their own restaurant (a bit pricey but there are some hotel credits that help) and there is an in-house Starbucks.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Doubletree. The hotel was clean and safe. Our room was comfortable and quiet. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only negative was that one of the elevators was out of order so it took a while to get up and down. The hotel is located next to a hospital but we rarely heard sirens. Boston commons is a 5 minute walk and Chinatown is 2 blocks away. The Orange line subway is outside as is the silver line bus that takes you to the airport. The other subway lines were also very close by. If we return to Boston we would stay here again.

Stayed here recently for 4 night stay. My first time at ths property; traveling partner had stayed here before as part of an encounter, to go to Cheers Bar, Commons, Garden, etc. No street noise heard in room. Location good for Tufts Medical, Chinese food, Boston Commons and Public Gardens, etc. Breakfast situation was a complete fail 3 of 4 mornings. The last morning waited an hour at table for food, drinking coffee, and then just gave up and left. Valet parking is very expensive and not convenient. You cannot call down to have your car waiting (they don't answer the phone). Good place to walk to a number of things, but probably will not stay here again.

First off the location is perfect for exploring all Boston has to offer. The hotel is smack dab in the middle of downtown making nearly all major sites walking distance or a short uber ride away. Housekeeping was nice and friendly. Breakfast at Wisteria was a great way to start the morning. There's also a Starbucks on site.||Other than that this hotel falls a bit short. Front desk staff is not very helpful and some what rude. From arriving late and being locked outside even after speaking to the front desk, to having to change rooms, to check out and having the front desk clerk rudely tell me to go put my room keys in a collection box even though I'm standing at the front desk they have some attitude issues. And the rooms are not very comfortable. First night I would've been better of sleeping on the floor as the bed was as hard as a rock. Shower head is way short for anyone taller than about 5'8" making showering difficult. Fridge and microwave while convenient look like an after thought awkwardly placed in the room. Lobby AC is broken although they did bring in a portable unit so temps weren't too bad. Elevators constantly out of order. Fire alarms going off. ||This hotels location is great, no question about that. Otherwise nothing to rave about.

I would recommend this hotel when you are visiting Boston. T station is right next door. Has onsite valet parking. Room is clean (see below). Staff are courteous. A huge compliment to Helaina. She makes us feel welcomed. I am a diamond member. She helped with early check in so we can unload our luggage and park the car and get ready for the Fourth of July celebration. I made initial booking using points. When we decided to extend our stay she made the transaction silky smooth. After we checked out, there was a small error on the bill. She happened to be the one answering the phone. She understands the issue and quickly fixed it. A fine hotel is a package. Staff members like Helaina definitely enhances our experience at Doubletree downtown Boston. The hotel is a little dated as you can tell from the carpet and wallpaper. The onsite restaurant is good for breakfast only. I cannot recommend their entrée. There is no direct to floor elevator from ground level. There was spider webs on the ceiling and housekeeping has to come up yo wipe the ceiling at night and leaving a whole bunch of plaster crumbs on the carpet. DESPITE all those kinks, I give it a 5/5.

The hotel stay was disappointing. The website claims to give a price match but they said at the front desk that they don't. The room was clean but the common areas on our floor were not. The bathroom tub was a slow drain so water would be up to your ankles when you showered, and the toilet would only flush half the time. Outlets in the hotel were loose, so our chargers had come out of the outlets overnight. The restaurant was quite overpriced for the type of food they served. We got a Caesar salad with chicken (they forgot to make the chicken and sent it out after) and the fish and chips, plus chowder. The salad was like a bagged mix of lettuce and wasn't tossed in dressing, very dry for a Caesar and lackluster. The fish was small but tasted good, they don't have cocktail or tartar sauce. The chowder was good, and the server was nice. One of the two elevators was broken and so we often had to wait for one or two rounds of people before we could get a crowded ride up to our room. This hotel is also right next to a big hospital so it was very loud when there were helicopters landing on the roof nextdoor.
