DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Atlanta - Northlake - Hotel in Tucker - 4156 Lavista Rd, USA

I think the rooms need to be renovated if they want to ask for $130 a night. I was able to get a much cheaper deal online though. The staff was friendly. Room was clean. My only complaint would be the breakfast...the eggs and grits are too runny and WAY too salty. Selection is good however. But please please please cut down on the salt. I look forward to the breakfast and this was my experience during my last 2 stays.

We stayed last night. Joseph at front desk was very nice and professional. The beds were the absolute most comfortable beds I have ever slept in.. I have never slept so well. The restaurant Taverns had delicious food and great bar. Great experience.

I decided to have my 50th birthday party here as it was conveniently located and the parking was ample. I had a wonderful birthday, but my overall experience with working with the event coordinator was not what I was hoping for given the cost that I was incurring for the event. I had an event planner for my party and she found it difficult to get in touch with the coordinator after the initial meeting. I personally did not like that when negotiating the services, there was an unwillingness to comp small things like the $40 for the sparkling cider we used for my toast. The night of the party, we informed the event coordinator that the dance floor was too close to the head table and she didn't want to have it moved back. She went ahead and asked the staff to do it, but informed us that we shouldn't ask for anything else to be done that night. I spent the weekend at the hotel and she told us there would be no discount for that. I am not a person that will nickel and dime anyone for services that I am receiving, but I am always going to return to a business that is willing to make my experience so memorable that I will have no choice but to hold another special event there or recommend it to others. Unfortunately, this Doubletree's enthusiasm to see me return was wanting.

Positive: "" Negative: Not a 4 star hotel. Wallpaper is peeling in the room, lobby has an odd smell, very old building that isn't very clean. The staff is nice, and help were they can though.

My stay here has been horrible Never booked this hotel ever again. I Was Referred By My Cousin An Hilton Employee To Stay At This Location. I Know This Is Not How the Hilton operate. Let me start off by saying first the hotel room that I booked was booked up when I arrived and I was giving another room where two of my family members had to sleep on a pullout couch Did not pay for my family to sleep on a pull out when we paid and book two beds. The bathroom was dirty. The next day there were having some big convention and a wedding all at the same time I had random people sleeping outside of my door and chairs kids running up and down the hallway hard to even get through in the lobby, went to the store to get food for my family to warm up in the microwave, and I was accused of stealing out of there store in the front when I was warming up my food the items I had in my bag they don’t even sell in the store one of the front desk. Workers approach me said that she seen their items on camera and me putting them in my bag, as I asked her, did she accuse me of stealing something she said yes, then I proceeded to pull everything out my Kroger bag which is everything I purchased and show her the receipt to show her that I have stolen nothing and she cannot accuse me of stealing anything if I have not stolen anything she did not apologize . when she found out that she was was very rude about the situation talking to the other front desk worker she admitted that her coworker was wrong and she had she should have never accused me of stealing anything I was totally offended being the black man that I am I was put on the spot in front of a lobby full of other races. Everyone now pay attention to her accusing me of stealing I asked for a manager I was told there is no managers that works Shift doing busy times and things like this that occurs a manager should always be available. The lady was very nonchalant about the situation after I told them that I was. Comfortable no one have came to my room to knowledge the fact to apologize or anything there’s no manager that I can get in contact with I feel like me and my family is forced to stay here where we feel very uncomfortable. The lobby has also been a mess all day. Trash is still in the lobby here at 1:30 AM in the morning The same trash has been there all day I felt EMBARRASSED AND PROFILED!!! I wouldn’t Refer This Hotel To No One . Non Of My Family Will Be Back Here Ever!!

I stayed at the NorthLake property about 1 months ago. It was the hotel from hell. I asked the front desk lady to put me somewhere quiet. She put me right next to the elevators so I heard people screaming and laughing all night. Then at 2am some lady was screaming, "she was attacked, call the police, someone help me". I have no weapon and I'm old so I wasn't going to open my door . I think she had some kind of mental breakdown. I felt like I was living out the song by the Eagles, Hotel California . I called the front desk and no one answered. Other than that the room was fine .ha.

I really don't know what's going on with this hotel. I called for a week straight to speak with someone in sales to try to block off rooms for my family reunion. After what seemed like pulling teeth I spoke with the GM who then emailed the saleswoman. I expected a call back the following day but instead had to call back and leave a voicemail for her. When she contacted me back she let me know that she just started, quoted me a group rate and said she would email me a contract. Here we are a week later, no contact. It's really unfortunate and disappointing.

Front desk staff - excellent! That's where it ends. The rooms on the North side of the building, or at least my room, felt as if it in the middle lane of 285. I didn't need to count sheep, I counted the semi trucks that's rolled by throughout the night. The large glass doors are not sealed and the sound flows right in. I will find another place, much further away from the highway.
