Judy was a wonderful host. It was particularly delightful chatting with her over breakfast. This is the best place to stay if you want to be conveniently situated near the Bosque de Apache so you can see snow geese and cranes fly in at dusk and fly out at dawn. The bed was comfortable, the room was a bit dated. It was heated by a fireplace and space heater.

We stayed a night in a lovely Casita while we visited Bosque del Apache. The room was charming and we thoroughly enjoyed chatting with Judy during breakfast. Definitely check this spot out if you're in the area. We plan on returning in the future.

Dos Casitas en Socorro is a delightful B&B close to Bosque del Apache Wildlife Refuge. We had one of two charming rooms at the back of the garden where we could sit out and enjoy the evening coming on. Judy is a wonderful host, and our breakfast was delicious - homecooked with great variety to choose from. The room had every comfort of home and a fantastic collection of books. Everything was clean, welcoming, and comfortable. We will absolutely stay at Dos Casitas again and recommend it highly!

Dos Casitas is a cozy, lovely place to stay in Socorro, 20 minutes from the Bosque del Apache Wildlife Refuge and near the Socorro plaza. Judy is a great hostess and cooks a wonderful breakfast (I chose the breakfast burrito from a wide range of delicious choices). Spent one night there so I could see the evening fly-in and dawn fly-out at the refuge. Judy suggested I stop at the Ladd S. Gordon Waterfowl Complex, where the cranes and geese feed during the day, and it was great experience. I highly recommend Dos Casitas and Judy!

Just like the cranes, we flocked to Socorro for the festival. We were so glad to stay with Judy at her Dos Casitas instead of a chain hotel. The Casita was spacious and toasty warm and right in town, only 30 min from the Bosque. Judy helped us set up a comfy air mattress for a third guest. We left very early for the birding festival and she armed us with tea/coffee, homemade muffins, trail bars, and fresh fruit every day. On our last morning, we enjoyed a delicious full breakfast including homemade green chile and apple butter. We enjoyed visiting with Judy too. She had great recommendations for restaurants and festival events. Judy also helped me surprise my family members with flowers from a local florist to celebrate their anniversary. Check out her website for more information. Booking was easy and her accommodations are a great value.

We were lucky to find the review of this B&B and made reservations for a night in Socorro. Judy was the owner of the casitas and our wonderful host. We had the smaller casita but it was comfortable and cozy. Breakfast (from the previous night's varied choices) was tasty and filling. We would return again if we were fortunate to be in Socorro.

We really enjoyed our stay at Dos Casitas. Both casitas were lovely and clean, the beds were comfortable, and we all slept very well. The patios were relaxing, lit well at night and the plants were beautiful. You can even order breakfast the day before. It was so relaxing and we'll stay there again!

-that goes for both the casitas AND the host. Judy was great! Our first morning, we were headed to the Bosque del Apache pre-dawn so she brought us a tray with coffee, muffins, beef jerky, oranges, bananas, bars of all kind, snacks... good heavens! we ate breakfast and lunch and snacked all day on everything she'd sent for us. Our favorite was a bag of homemade cookies! 2nd breakfast, she made 2 types of quiche (we chose from a variety of breakfast items the evening prior) along with fresh fruit, juices and coffee. She sent us on our way with another bag of homemade cookies. ||||The casitas are very quaint- the heat comes from the kiva fireplaces (no worries, they are gas and on thermostats) creating a wonderful ambience. Separate heat for the bathrooms. The garden was at the end of it's season :( but would be lovely in season, I think. We just absolutely loved our stay across the board. It's definitely much different than an impersonal motel stay and VERY convenient for visiting the Bosque! Would stay again in a heartbeat.

Always nice for an overnighter. 50, 30 amp, water and sewer to all sites. Very level gravel. Sites are a bit narrow but with nobody there, it was no problem. The trees are nice, give a bit of shade. No grass which is a bummer. To get inside the park
