Donut King - Donut shop in Minneola - 208 S Hwy 27, USA

Terrible service from the young man behind the counter! We visited for the 1st time in the evening and not even a "hello" was said. He looked impatient since we were taking some time looking at the choices, and when I asked him which flavor was the most popular, he ignored me. We ended up picking 3 flavors on our own - Cookie Monster, Boston Creme and Lemon Curd, promptly paid, and left. The donuts were stale, perhaps because of the time of the day (evening), which is no excuse anyway, and the service and cleanliness of the shop leaves much to be desired. Be better.

I'm not one to post but I thought others should see this. A co-worker told me about this place. So I figured let's try it mind you it was a 44 min drive for me. We ordered a half dozen 3 being Maple Bacon. I saw other photos & thought we gotta try it. To my surprise look at what I was given. What a true disappointment. Advice to anyone look at your doughnuts before you leave. The top 2 on the right were Mapl Bacon & the top one on the left. In all the other reviews the Maple Bacon looks like the top left doughnut. So sad.

Oh lord have mercy!!!! It's donut King. This place has been a staple of the community for as long as I can remember. As a local born and raised, this place has been supplying donuts for a long time. As a local car club president, we visit multiple times a year, never any fuss from the staff or management, and never have I personally had a bad experience here. They supply disney and universal, that should tell you all you need to know. A million different varieties of donut, and not a single one of them bad! We stop by as much as possible to enjoy this sweet sweet treat. Thank you for always being here!

So, I'm not a fan of sweets. Doughnuts especially. But, these kind of surprised me. Not only were they really light and airy, but the flavor combinations are really interesting. I've had some maple bacon doughnuts that were overly sweet, and overly fatty. These were somehow well-balanced. I also tried the Nerds doughnut which sounds really strange but oddly enough, it worked! My only complaint here is that there's too much frosting. Donut King has so many variations of the classics. Powdered Bavarian Cream, Chocolate Bavarian Cream, etc. They also have insanely large pastries (doughnuts, cinnamon rolls, danishes, muffins, twists...) You should definitely check it out! The only downside besides too much frosting is the outdated decor and no seating! But the truth is in the doughnut!

This place is Amazing! The choices are plentiful! My brain went into overload with all these choice I wanted to try everything! Everything was very fresh! I would definitely recommend this place and I will definitely be going back. My favorite so far is apple fritter and also the maple glaze with the bacon on top!

Best donuts I've had in all of Florida so far, moist even at 9pm! A huge selection, and unique items!

Donut King + Holidays = JOY! Lol. Hubby knows I've had a rough couple of weeks so he surprised me with my fave. Donut King never disappoints. Look at how cute they are!! And yes I'm having one (or two) in bed! #truelove #nojudgment 🍩 👑 ❤️
