All the food we ordered was excellent. Our server Jazmine was absolutely amazing. The atmosphere in the restaurant was on point as well. Definitely try the fried alligator and the fried oysters. The raw oysters were delicious and the perfect size.

The hush puppies at this restaurant were the best! The Catfish was good too. My only complaint was it seemed they used garlic on everything. The tartar sauce had garlic in it too. Our waitress was friendly and the atmosphere was neat!

Our first experience here and I must say, our server made it excellent. Max was a pure delight. His recommendations knocked it out the park and the service he provided was exceptional! Well done Max. We will be back to see you soon.

O.K. restaurant, and it appeared they had some great food, unfortunately, mine and others in my party was "ehhh". We have had some great meals in Lafayette and decided to give Don's a shot. I had the 1/2 shrimp po-boy and gumbo. The shrimp tasted fresh out of the Walmart freezer section....after it thawed and was frozen again. The gumbo was OK...a bit greasy and bland. I really wanted to like this place, the server was good, and some of the oyster dishes around me looked good.....but this food experience wasn't great.

I used to love coming here. They do have the best old fashioned but the quality of the food has not been the same in recent visits. Last night, my daughter and I went to have gumbo, and she got a grilled cheese. The grilled cheese was so dry! Cheese was not even melted. Toast was over toasted as well. While I was eating, my daughter stopped me before taking a bite that had a hair in it. It was my worst experience there. I told our waitress about the hair, and she took it to the manager, and they took it off my bill. The fact I know the gumbo comes from a large pot they have been serving people from all day is disgusting. I did not send the grilled cheese back because whoever cooked it saw it before sending it out, so they obviously didn't care. Sadly, I just won't be returning.

Great food! If you are celebrating a special occasion and want a classy place with a large variety of seafood, look no further! When we got there the parking lot was full! That told us the food was good (and there might be a long wait). To our surprise, there was no wait. True enough, the food was delicious! Our server was excellent, answering all our "first time in Louisiana " questions and offering suggestions on what to order. We got fried alligator for an appetizer, shrimp tacos, stuffed shrimp and fried catfish smothered in crawfish etouffe over rice. 😋 For dessert our birthday girl received a complementary giant pecan cobbler ala mode. Good deal!

All I can say is that you will leave here full and satisfied 💯 with the food you order, the service provided, etc. **must try the frozen margarita 😜** Also a must try is a cup of the best seafood gumbo you ever put in your tummy 😁 imo. Oh yes the main coarse,, myself, I love all seafood so I always go with the largest seafood platter . Y'all will not regret checking out this fine place. Best seafood gumbo I ever had!! OMG I almost forgot , the 2nd best thing to order is some charbroiled oysters! If you have never tried them, they are to die for!

After a long drive from Houston this hit the spot! Houston has good food too so we know good food when we taste it. Mac n cheese, mashed potatoes and grilled chicken were delicious! Chicken was juicy and well seasoned. We will definitely stop here again next time we're around!
