Don Julio Mexican Restaurant Bar & Grill - Mexican restaurant in North Branch - 5466 St Croix Trail g, USA

This is the first place that I have not enjoyed being at. The service was slow sloppy and the wait stop seemed to be disinterested in being there. When our food came out we could tell that the carne asada fries we're not made with care. The meat was dried out. We also ordered soft shell tacos and they were dripping with sauce making everything soggy. We waited for quite some time for someone to come to our table even though it was apparent we were finished eating. We were never asked how the food was the only time the waiter came back was to ask if we needed another beverage. We waited for about 15 minutes with nobody paying attention to us to give us our bill. It's the only time I felt I should walk out without paying. I haven't been there in many years and I enjoyed the first time I was there this time not so much.

Been here a few times now and what can I say, it's a perfect staple Mexican restaurant. Food isn't innovative, but it's properly prepared and delicious. Has a decent sized seafood menu that I haven't tried because I have doubts that they move much of that product, but maybe it's great? North Branch doesn't have a ton of options, so I'm glad this place doesn't use that as an excuse to have mediocre food. It's actually very good. And I love that the hot sauces on the table are great and actually hot. It's a chain so the drinks are very corporate; lots of different flavors, all light on booze.

Went here for dinner on a weekday. Great service. Food comes out quick in a timely manner. Food was good, large portions. Our favorite was the DJ shrimp tacos.

Great food and service. We ordered a meal that wasn't what we thought it was going to be the staff noticed and made us a new meal. The Talapia is awesome. Would definitely order this again. Thank you for a wonderful dinner, you made our date night.

Another great experience at Don Julio. The staff is amazing, had our drinks almost as soon as we received the menu. It was my son's birthday so everyone from the back came to sing happy birthday to him with his dessert. Not sure why the snow flakes are complaining but we always are treated very well here and the food was spot on, I ordered a skillet came out piping hot and the waiter was very careful around my kids not to burn them as we've had trouble with other restaurants passing plates over their heads tsk tsk. Keep up the good work guys & gals.

We were seated quickly and order taken right away. Food was very good service was great but we felt rushed as our server asked us every 3 minutes if everything was good. Then he asked if we needed boxes and gave us our check.we we're there half hour forty minutes at the most. I would still recommend.

This place makes me feel like I'm back in Cancun. I / we absolutely love it here. Chips and salsa are SPOT ON and the fajitas are to die for.....HAPPPY BELLY every time I / we leave here..... If your haven't been here and are anywhere near North Branch, MN you must give this place a try....:)

Love this place. We go to Forest Lake and North Branch. Always leave happy. The food and staff are fantastic. It's pretty reasonably priced, too.
