Dominick's - Restaurant in Buford - 22 Buford Village Way, USA

Went on Friday night. There was no wait. The restaurant is located in front of buford center. We order stuffed mushrooms for appetizers. It was very flavorful and delicious. Dominicks chicken services with pasta but pasta was little mild so I asked for extra Parmesan cheese and it made it better. Definitely recommend Spinach salad. It was very fresh & yet refreshing. This restaurant offers half portion which is already big and it is sharable. I recommend ordering half portion of main dish, appetizers, whatever you want to try so you can try different food! Service was fast and server was friendly.

The worst dining experience I've had since moving to the area in 2005! The waitress did all she could and was very sweet. The manager, answer the phone person, greeter, seater, bartender and fill in waitress (all one person) eventually stepped in to take our order. She, too, did all she could. Some guy, presumably the owner and cook, frantically came in and out of the kitchen, tried to clean off a table, dropped a bunch and said he hadn't even finished his drink at the bar. We assumed he was joking .... but I'm really not sure. Food time! BREAD FOR THE TABLE...served with flavorless marinara sauce. No butter, no spices in olive oil....just really bad tomato sauce to dip your warmed up several times, now should have been considered unservable- bread in to. We ordered the calamari appetizer for the table. Frozen, chewy, and just nasty . We sent this back, and they did take it off the bill. My daughter ordered the chicken and pasta carbonara. The manager wanted to make sure she understood the sauce was actually an alfredo sauce. Ok. She rolled with it. I tried to order off a giant menu displayed on the wall just to be told they no longer served half of that. I asked what their favorite menu item was and she said the veal saltibuca. I asked if the veal was actually good/fresh and she said that the only complaint they get is that it's chewy. I said let's do it with the The main dishes were ok at best, again with zero flavor profile. I had a side of angel hair with garlic and oil....the garlic was burnt, which gave a horrible taste to the cheap oil they used....both which ruined what may have been a decent pasta. We were told the cannoli were amazing and ordered two Look at the picture to see how they were served and placed for us. No apology. No anything. Just put them down and told us to enjoy. They too were ok at best....once we could get to them. Just no. Don't do it to yourself.

Cute place for dinner. They are not joking about the portion sizes. We had the calamari. They were only ok. If we go back I would not get them again. The chicken parm was a bit overdone but still edible. Napolitano sauce was good,, but the ricotta in the sauce does not melt in, so if you don't love ricotta you should try a different sauce. The lasagna was decent. Lots of layers to it. Overall this was a decent dinner with good prices for the amount of food.

We have eaten here several times. We normally go shortly after they open at 5. Dining room is mostly empty but they manage to make us feel badly about not making a reservation. We have had good service in the past but even at the busiest times, the manager (owner?) walks around and asks what we assume are the regulars if they ate doing okay. We have never been asked. Final straw was I tried to make reservations last Friday night, called twice. The recording said do not leave reservation request on here, make sure you talk to a person for that. So after two tries and no person answered we showed up. One table had ppl but it did look set up for some big parties. The manager asked if we had reservations, I said we tried twice to make them. He just shook his head. Sigh*

The owner informed us that he had no knowledge of our reservation and had closed the restaurant for two private parties that evening. Despite our insistence that the owner had personally taken our information and assured us of our reservation, he denied having our details in his reservation book and claimed ignorance of the entire situation. This left us in a difficult position with only two hours left before our event, forcing us to scramble to find an alternative restaurant for our dinner party. This experience was not only deeply disappointing but also highly unprofessional. The lack of accountability and the owner's refusal to acknowledge the error made the situation even more frustrating. As a result, I cannot recommend Dominic’s Italian restaurant in Buford to anyone looking to host a special event or make reservations for a large group. The failure to honor our reservations and the subsequent inconvenience caused by the restaurant's negligence left a lasting negative impression. In conclusion, the handling of our reservation by the owner of Dominic’s Italian restaurant was extremely disappointing, and it is regrettable that such a promising event was marred by this avoidable issue. I hope that the restaurant takes steps to improve its reservation management and customer service to prevent similar experiences for future patrons. Dominick's never disappoints! What a great dinner I had with my baby. The portions are huge. When they say half size that means it feeds two and a full size feeds four. I had their crab cake over angel hair with a wonderful roasted red pepper sauce. My wife had the angel hair and meatballs with the neapolitan sauce. The service was good for only two people. The price is reasonable considering the amount of food we took home. Stop by Dominick's. You won't be disappointed!

We went the night before New Year’s Eve. Not crowded at all, had reservations and we promptly seated. I believe the service was slow because of only 2 servers and the manager was bussing the tables. Very good food as usual but they were short handed and did the best they could. Been there a lot over the years and never disappointed

The food was great, yet the experience was underwhelming. We had a 7:30pm reservation. I walked in at 6:45 hopeful, but not assuming a table would be ready and said, "I know we are early, but we are here whenever we can get seated". The owner/manager said, "let me check if we have your table ready" he walked away and came back looking at me as if I had two heads and said, "It's not even 7 and you are here". I was so put off by his demeanor. A simple, "it's a little early - give us a bit" would be respected and understood. He reluctantly said our table ready. It’s hard to put in words how rude this interaction was. I went outside to tell my family who was waiting patiently in the car. We walked in and had a table for 6 with a 5 month old baby. When he saw the baby he said to the mother of the child, "next time you make a reservation for 6 you need to say it is 7. You didn't include the baby in your information".You know... maybe we should have... but there's a way to talk to customers and this is not it. The owner ran around the restaurant all night intimidating his employees who seemed incredibly stressed, yelling at someone on the phone (on speaker) and drinking beer which he left sitting on the host stand. **For some reason I can't respond to the comment below, but I don't have the wrong location.
