DOMESTIC - Barbecue restaurant in Covina - 325 N Citrus Ave, USA

In town visiting family and my dad recommend checking out Domestic-great choice! We had the ribs and the brisket, and the flavors were fantastic. Also got a side of bacon Mac n cheese and some honey cornbread with sweet tea to complete the meal. The cherry on top was the excellent service! I don’t typically leave reviews but can’t wait to come back!

I used to recommend this restaurant to my friends because I enjoyed their smoked meats and services. I changed my position. I had my worst beef ribs today. The problem was they reheated the smoked beef ribs on a fire grill which burned the meat so much that the meat tasted dried and lack of smoke favor. The meat was stale. I need to find a better restaurant for smoked meats.

I don’t like leaving overly negative reviews especially for local non chain establishments. Unfortunately their BBQ offerings weren’t very good. My brisket was rubbery due to the warming of an older cut of meat on a grill. Just not the way brisket should be handled. The Tri tip fries were also lackluster, however I was assured that their burger was good. Perhaps they had a bad day when we went. Hope to return on a good day.

Went here on a weekend night. Was seated immediately. We ordered Tri Tip Fries for our appetizer, Pulled Pork Sammy with Potato Salad, and Classic Brisket Sammy with Bacon Mac N Cheese. The food was great and the price was reasonable. The stand outs for me were definitely the Classic Brisket and the potato salad. Tri Tip Fries and Pulled Pork were good. The Mac N Cheese was definitely the low point. It wasn't bad but I don't think I'd order it again. The service was quick. The food came out quick.

Having been introduced to many different kinds of barbecue, I consider myself picky. Domestic though, is one of the few that ranks high on my list. lordered their 2 meat + 1 side dish combo for $25. I opted for the ribs and brisket with the bacon mac n' cheese. The ribs were good, flavorful and fall off the bone tender, a little on the dry side but I enjoyed them nonetheless. The brisket was juicy, I prefer some bark on them though. I had high hopes for the bacon mac n' cheese because it was said to be their most popular selection. I've definitely had better where I said to myself "to hell with low carb diet." This was ok, 3 pieces of pasta and I am done. Dining solo gives me the opportunity to Take as many pictures and eat as slow or as fast as I want without the eye-roll and beatboxing. I didn't overstay though as the dinner crowd came trickling in. Parking was busy on a Friday evening what with the farmer's market across the street. It was good to have found free parking.

First time visiting them and the food was delicious. I had the brisket flautas and pulled pork tacos and the flavors were on point. Will definitely be coming back again. The whole staff was so welcoming and friendly from the moment we walked it till the moment we walked out. Also very nice and clean. Loved the atmosphere.

Customer service was fantastic. Elote (street corn) was fabulous. Brisket was fatty but tasty. I didn't favor the mac n cheese, or pork and beans too much, BUT other then that it was a beautiful experience. Nice family owned business, cool vibe and scenery. Must try #covinastrong
