Dolcezza is a DC-native, handmade, small batch gelato local chain. Rotating flavors. Pictured here is Apple and Clementine sorbetto. The sorbettos are very bright and flavorful, they're my personal favorite. The gelato is quite sweet, a bit too much so for me. But my taste is for low sweetness in my desserts, so that's just me. My partner who is a gelato fanatic loves this place.
Super good! Got the dulce de Leche chip gelato and the cookie butter crunch gelato! Also got the pumpkin chai. All the staff are so nice and helpful. Pricey but worth it.
Cute spot to get a few emails done from or sit for a little. Smells great in here, decent amount of space. There are some outlets scattered around and the baristas are helpful and pleasant. $9.63 for a small oat mocha is a certified CRIME ($1.00 tip included in that).
Dolcezza is my favorite dessert spot in DC. The creamy, deliciousness (gelato & sorbet) comes in a multitude of flavors and 2 sizes. You can choose two flavors in a small or 3 in a large. They also fill your cup and more with their servings. These joints tend to be on the smaller side, so don’t always count on seating. Enjoy!
Probably the most authentic gelato in Washington. They even keep the gelato covered in metal containers. Having just lived in Italy for years, this is the closed to Italian gelato that you will get. But they do not offer whipped cream as they do in Italy… on the other hand, they have a communal table, drinks, and non-styrofoam to go containers. There is even a bench outside for people watching.
I came here for hot chocolate, so my review is about that, not about the gelato. It was pretty good, not overly sweet nor rich (though if rich is what you’re after, don’t come here), and they added whipped cream and marshmallows for free. What I didn’t like was that it came out luke warm. I like my drinks really hot.
Amazing gelato! Great selection of flavors and each one was so unique and bold. The employees were super friendly and patiently helped us make our decisions.
A little pricey but delicious! Coffee shop looks super cute too. Got the bananas foster and dark chocolate and they were both fantastic and went great together!
