DoG Street Pub - Gastropub in Williamsburg - 401 W Duke of Gloucester St, USA

I almost passed on this place due to the busy state of things but thank heavens I didn’t…I got the fish and chip special and omg. I haven’t had better since Ireland. The batter was light and fluffy and the fish juicy it was amazing. Great experience! Will - our server was great and fun- good times- amazing food 😀

Location was extremely busy so we sat at the bar. Service was okay especially since the bartender was also very busy filling drink orders, putting away clean glasses and barware, and taking orders at the other side of the bar. Food took awhile too - kitchen forgot to fill an order, so the rest of us felt weird to start eating. Drink selection is excellent and we would come again for flights!

The DoG Street Pub is the perfect lunch or dinner spot right in the middle of town. We went right at lunch and got a spot right away. The service was slower, but that might be just to how busy they were at the time. There did seem to be some food mixups around us with people being delivered the wrong food and some peoples food coming out much later than the rest of their party, or not at all. We were very fortunate to not have those issues though. The corned beef sandwich was phenomenal. The pub sauce was great as well. The corned beef wasn’t super fatty, and was really juicy. The burger was good as well. The ham on top was a nice touch. The beverage selection is enormous. I ended up either some tasters to sample, but they also have an extensive cocktail list, bottle/can options, wine, and seasonal drinks. We definitely will come back again when we’re coming through Williamsburg.

We had the house hamburger and the corn beef sandwich. Both were really good, but the corn beef was on the dry side. That said, the service was quick and attentive. Good place for a bite.

We rode our bikes over for lunch during a day of touring colonial williamsburg. We were seated pretty wick, but had a new waiter, so service was OK. The food was good. Fish and chips, sandwiches. burgers, corned beef brisket with fries and naked vinegar are all good. DESSERT was the best part. GET THE ETON MESS! crunchy meringue with strawberry drizzle and shipped cream. So very unique and delicious. I would go back just for this dessert, even with it across the street from the wonderful candy place.

Food was good and filling. Atmosphere (outside) was nice. Server - not very attentive. Food and drinks came out, no extra napkins, no condiments for fries and sandwich. I had to get up and find her to ask for drink refills, extra napkins, condiments. She followed me out to the table, we told her what we needed. Condiments never came out, she blamed the partner server. Still never brought what we asked for. Never checked on us. Food good…service bad!

Very busy place that is a pub and has a food menu. I got the veggie burger and fries. The bar tender/server was knowledgeable and helpful. Even though he was really busy and working hard he answered questions and asked how we were doing. My husband had the hot dog and chili sauce and said it was good. We hope the manager realizes how hard this particular worker works! Thank you.

We were here on a Friday afternoon and loved it. It was not busy at all. We sat at the bar and had great service. There is a big selection of microbrewery beers. You can get flights so you can sample them. They have a decent selection of appetizers. We had the Welsh Rarebit and the Potato jalapeno cheese soup. Both for delicious, slightly on the heavier rich side. They have a beautiful checkered marble floor. Would definitely go here again when visiting colonial Williamsburg!
