Dixon Motel - Motel in Dixon - 805 N Adams St, USA

The motel was clean and safe. That was our goal. We were attending a dog show in town, which is pleasure and business. We booked on the Internet. They advertised pet friendly, which is why we chose this place. Didn't want fancy but clean and safe. The rooms were adequate. The fixtures could have used a few more light bulbs. The refrigerator needed to be defrosted as it wouldn't freeze any ice. I needed it to ice a pulled muscle. No ice machine to get ice from. Limited area to walk dogs, and manager came to us for additional $10.00 per night per dog. That would have been.O.K. if bookit. had let us know of the additional charge up front. I usually leave a generous tip for the maids if I have an animal with me, besides leaving the room as clean as possible. I didn't this time. Parking wasn't very good. All in all, is gave us the two most important aspects. It was clean and felt safe.

Great location, The Buckhorn is across the street, grocery store 7-Eleven rite aid Mexican restaurants all within 2 minute walk of the but you get what you pay for it it's $100 room and you get $100 room the owners are very strict on their visitor policy and they will not allow people to disturb other guests. Whenever I need the room this is the place I go when I'm in Dixon.

The owner was very helpful and made me a deal since I walked in without reservations. Clean rooms, parking right in front of your room. A woman of questionable character woke us up at 7 by continuously banging on the door. This, of course, had nothing to do with management. Once I yelled at her, she disappeared. A rubber mallet was found outside our door when we opened it, (it was new so we kept it). Our car wasn't stolen, so seemed to be a good night.

Walked into the room and it smelled like someone had a bowel movement the towels had someone's toothpaste on it sink was dirty opened up the bed and there was stains. Pillow cases stunk. The guy said it stunk because the sewer line had no water in it.. but if you knew it smelt bad why would you rent out the room?? Definitely wouldn't recommend this place. Wifi didn't even work.

So basically, I was apprehensive of staying here due to previous results. However upon checking in I see the error in peoples ways. This place is super nice, better than alot of corporate motels. Super affordable, the rooms are nice for the price, they are clearly working on painting, and bathroom upgrades. Really nice shower and bathroom setup, the room was nice as well with new looking furniture. Privacy is great, with no questions asked!

Great owners pet friendly great rooms. Nice bathrooms. We have stayed all over USA for work and this is by far best place we have been at in years. Owners are great rates and rooms are great. No complaints.

Good location. Very comfortable bed. Quiet, nice stay. Stayed here when visiting Kuiu and UCDavis for Picnic Day. Also went to The Buckhorn Bar and Grill across the street. Great place! All in all, Dixon is a nice place to visit.

THIS HOTEL HAS BED BUGS!!! We contacted the manager and he refused to admit that when he walked into the room that there was one under the pillow alive! We took pictures of the one we killed and he still tried to say that we faked it even though we had time stamps in the photo. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL! The manager is completely unprofessional and does not listen to reason. I hope that this review saves people to the horror we just went throgh.
