We stayed at the Dixie Motel last month for a baseball tournament and absolutely LOVED it! This is definitely a bed and breakfast as “motel” is just part of the historical name and not what this place is. The place is so clean and modern with a lovely vintage touch such as the record player and fridge. Sarah went above and beyond to meet our every need! The breakfast place was fully stocked with a variety of snacks and drinks that could be accessed anytime. We loved the water fountain and provided refillable bottle which came in super handy while at the baseball game. We will certainly be staying there again.
Dixie Motel Brenham exceeded our expectations. The owners Sarah and Karl are super friendly and all about customer service. This motel was renovated and I gotta say they did a spectacular job. The decor had a welcoming retro vibe. Enjoyed the place so much that my wife said she would live there if she could! They had delicious pour-over coffee the room. The organic whole milk available in the fridge was a nice touch. The room was very clean. We certainly recommend this motel to anyone wanting a clean and accommodating room to stay in. Would definitely stay here again!
We were in town for a family wedding and found this gem. We could not have asked for a better place to stay…. The owners were amazing to visit with, rooms were impeccably clean, all of the little extra things they provided (record players in room, local breakfast / drinks, etc.) were very much appreciated. Really neat spot to stay, do not hesitate to look this place!!
I cannot say enough good things about Dixie Motel. The rooms are impeccably clean and well equipped. You can feel the love and care throughout the space. Thoughtful touches like pour over coffee, record player, and personalized restaurant recommendations were a wonderful touch. Comfortable beds and the towels smell like fresh laundry (not like bleach as you find at most hotels). I wish I had time in my stay to enjoy the complimentary coffee, ranch water, or tea on the adorable patio space out back. I hope to be back in the future!
Great place to stay! From the record player with vintage records in our room to the wonderful coffee and the fresh continental breakfast, we really enjoyed our stay. The owners have done a great job renovating this vintage hotel. We usually stay at "chain" hotels but are glad we decided to give the Dixie Motel a try.
This place is a gem! They have totally renovated a vintage motel and done an amazing job. Every detail is thoughtfully executed. The room is spacious, the bed is very comfortable, and everything is spotless. They even have record players in the room and a great selection of vintage vinyl. a delicious fresh breakfast is available in a room off the back courtyard. The motel is located in a quiet neighborhood just a short drive from the funky downtown. Brenham was a pleasant surprise, loaded with murals and many cool small businesses.
Really a fun, cute place to stay. The staff was great, very friendly and gave us a quick tour of everything. It’s been redone from an original 1946 building and it’s so nice. Very clean. The water pressure and heat in the shower were amazing. The bed was super comfy. Loved the pour over coffee setup in the rooms. We didn’t utilize the breakfast room but it was nice. Definitely will stay here again.
What a find! If you have a chance, stay at this charming little motel. The owners have made this a special place with so many unexpected touches - vintage decor, breakfast with fresh-squeezed orange juice and homemade jam, quiet private courtyard area, and attention to all the smallest details. And the rooms are super clean and comfortable. The Dixie will be our first choice any time we're needing a stay in the Brenham area.
