Discovery Inn - Motel in Midvale - 7200 S 380 W, USA

To be completely honest I would have enjoyed my stay much more had I stayed at the Denny’s across the street. Staff wasn’t very friendly, I booked a non smoking room and was put in a smoking room. Stains on the walls, floors, bed sheets and much more. The hallways smelled of urine and I didn’t even attempt to step one foot in the pool. The location is convenient however there were many sketchy people surrounding the area and car windows were busted out. Not the most friendly, clean or reliable hotel.

Run down, no seating at the pool. Weird thing is that there is nice, new tile installed on the outside stairwell, and nice tile installed very poorly in the rooms. We seem to have gotten the updated room with a nice mirror and clean furniture. No carpet, which is fine for me but may be an issue for some. The door to the bathroom would not close without having to push it in and make a lot of noise. Convenient access to a lot of dining options, but that seemed to be the case for anywhere along this freeway corridor.

Should have checked the reviews. This place is horrendous! Avoid at all cost. Better to stay in the back of your car than here. The room smells like musty and the bed linen was dirty. I immediately regretted staying here. Bring your own blankets.

DO NOT STAY HERE. The staff is rude, unhelpful, and the location is shady. I stayed there months ago and I’ve routinely called in to get my security deposit back and the staff has the audacity to get annoyed at me for calling in for the money they owe me. When I call to speak to a manager they tell me to call back later and when I call back later what do I hear? Crickets. They won’t even do me the courtesy of calling me back when I’ve given them my information MULTIPLE times. Seriously do not stay here, I’ve stayed at the two closest hotels and the service was great and I didn’t worry about getting stabbed in the parking lot. I’ve seen other reviews saying they also haven’t received their deposit so this is probably just how they can support their failing business. If they were to respond to me or reached out to give me the money they owe me I would consider removing my review but since they can’t even simply return my calls or give me an email take this as your warning. Again if you’re looking to stay in the area the hotels nearby are far superior. DO NOT STAY HERE

Rooms are in good condition. Can’t complain for what you pay for. But overall, the customer service was great stood there for a couple nights. And all the employees are very respectful great place to stay!

Good price and they updated everything with tons of security. Love taking my 1930 ford down there have a nice night to relax then just go to the cafe on property in the morning.

Completely disgusting room with burn holes in the sheets, miscellaneous stains all over the walls, doors, and even ceiling. This is a disasterous room for the price. There were also dubious stains on the office chair, along with dirt and dust in most crevases and AC unit. additionally, there are writings on the walls with permanent marker. Not very impressed.

All the problems other bad reviews mentioned apparent and relevant. What was really odd to me is that the room just had sheets and no blanket. When calling to ask about blankets, front desk gave me this response as if I was being snotty in asking for this most basic motel staple (so one would think 🤔😱). Does have appearance of a drug den as everyone said. That too.
