I attended an art event held there and needed to leave early. I was charged for two days that I did not stay there!! When I questioned it, the response was very curtly, well we're not super 8 people don't just stop to stay here, we can't rent your room now. Never Ever have I had that type of experience. One night I had no cable tv or services either. While the place is in a nice setting, If I ever attend another art event there I will stay at a different place!! Rooms were also very high priced and my single supplement charge was +$100!!!
Want a quiet getaway? - go to Dillman's Resort. The owners are friendly and helpful. Can rent a pontoon boat if you want to circle around white sand lake. Or bring your own boat. Bring your polls if you want to fish. Heard you can canoe or kayak if you want. Just love it here.
First time attending an art class here. Excellent staff and teachers. Perfect destination for couples as well as families. Beautiful lake. Check out this relaxing vacation spot. You won't regret it.
This year was the sixth we have visited Dillman’s Bay Resort. My husband and I get to enjoy our favorite things; he loves to fish and I am an artist. The art studios and instructors that are scheduled spring through fall offer options to make the process of choosing a class and visiting when it works for you an easy one. It’s wonderful to also be able to bring our dog and enjoy wonderful walks everyday at the resort on the paths among the pine trees and with the beautiful lake views. The fishing, my husband says, “is kind of a tough lake to fish”, but he never seems to tire of it! The cabins we have stayed in are all in excellent condition, provide everything you need from towels to dishes, etc…and are very cozy. There are nice eating establishments in nearby locations. Denny and Sue and family are wonderful people and make the whole experience very comfortable. We are seven hours away and it is a worthwhile trip to the Northwoods for sure!
As always, the artist workshop was well organized and studio area great. Dillman's has only the best art instructors who are acclaimed professional artists. The staff is excellent, always attentive to any problems. Food that is available for purchase is great. Our cabin was spotless when we arrived, and very comfortable. We like that Dillman's is dog friendly, so we bring our poodle to play with the resorts resident Golden Retrievers! We love Dillman's, have been there 6 times, and will return in the fall. It is a beautiful resort.
Although I haven't actually stayed at Dillman's, I have attended art workshops there and have seen their accommodations and witnessed their operatons. This is a top notch resort. It's family owned and run, and they have a large number of returning guests every year. Since I live in the area, I haven't needed to book accommodations, but I wouldn't hesitate an instant to stay at Dillman's Bay Resort. The family tries its utmost to ensure that guests have a comfortable and memorable stay.
We had to change the dates of our visit so did not know what our accommodations would be. We found out that we were in an upstairs room, which wouldn’t work for us because of our advanced ages and physical abilities. They were extremely helpful and gave us a lovely cabin which really could have housed a family of 5. We were only two. We were very pleased with the first night cocktail hour and dinner that went with our group of artists attending.
My husband and I had our wedding at Dillman's on September 18, 2021, and it was the most perfect weekend. We worked with Dillman's staff (mainly Stephanie) the whole summer leading up to our day and she was always professional and kind. We had the majority of our guests coming in from out of town, so almost the entire resort was from our party during the weekend; everyone raved about how gorgeous the resort was and how fun it was to stay all in one spot close to all the wedding festivities. There is the most beautiful spot to have the ceremony right by the water, and the weather turned out perfectly for us. Dillman's was amazing at helping to set up the chairs and give us recommendations about how to do everything. There is also an amazing spot up top where the tent went (we got a 40 by 100 tent for around 200 guests), and Dillman's was also so helpful about giving the tent company directions when we weren't sure. We chose to host a welcome dinner the night before where over a hundred people attended that went amazing, and the day of the wedding went without a hitch! A member of staff was always around to help us when we needed anything, and the bartenders were amazing, efficient, and fun. We will definitely be coming back for our anniversary year after year; they even allows dogs, so our 10 week old puppy got to be apart of the celebration! Highly recommend Dillman's as a wedding venue; our guests who were from the area kept going on and on about how they didn't know there was such a beautiful place for a wedding hidden up here!

Wonderful place to get food! â¤ï¸ The place is not huge but it makes use of the space to serve great food and hold some A+ staff! As for appetizers, their cheese curds and spinach artichoke wontons are homemade and fresh! As far as entrees go, thei
