I Came to Seattle couple times and I can say that this restaurant is one of the best one’s.. the food is great, and the service was amazing!! The waiter’s are too sweet and will make you feel welcome & comfortable :)) If you’re looking for an African restaurant with good tasty fooood??? Trust me this is the one!!!
Decent west African food, although the wait time can be quite long. I ordered for dine in and it took an easy 60 minutes to get my food and there weren’t many people dining in. I ordered the C’est Bon plate which is described as a combo of seafood. It came with fish, shrimp, veggies, marinated onions and white rice. The fish was delicious with more than enough onions, which is my favorite part. Just a lot of bones to pick through but no error on their part. The shrimp was alright too, just not really notable. If you’re not too hungry and don’t mind waiting it’s worth a visit. Otherwise I will continue going to the other west African restaurant in Lynnwood as I think they are a little tastier and quicker.
I ordered the chicken and my mother ordered the lamb. It was delicious! A huge meal, lots of food for a good price.
Waited 40 minutes for 3 dishes.. what a waste of time! Very disappointed about the lamb dibi. Very hard to bite. It seems to be frozen. When my bf explained the fact to the server, the server was unable to accept the criticism and told us it is the way it is! Chicken sandwich was filled with potatoes, I can barely see chicken. Shimp pie was juicy but does not worth the price. Really wish the restaurants can focus on authenticity instead of cheating or short cut on quality.
Small and quite place. Nice for a date. The food was delicious. Waiter was nice. The sweet plantains were yummy! There was one server. Be aware if you ask for water- it will not be tap water and they will charge you per bottle. Our only complaint was the amount of time it took for the food to come out. We waited with the whole family 45 minutes.
Delicious! Had a peanut butter beef soup and the beef with juicy and tender. Also had a ginger juice and it was amazing.
My wife and I love this place. It’s real African food and makes her feel right at home. Their okra soup with fufu is amazing! The fried fish is also another great dish.
The food here is amazing and they give you very generous portions. We had the Lamb Dibi and Chicken Afra, which are very similar dishes. Both heavily spiced and very flavorful with nice dollops of spicy, caramelized, mustardy onions. The entrees come with sides of your choice which we had rice and vermicelli. Of those two options the vermicelli was the more exciting option. I believe you could also choose from choose a salad or fries if you wish. We had traditional beverages as well. I had the Monja, which by appearance looks like red wine, but in actuality is a quite sweet drink that tastes a little like extra sweet grape juice with amazing floral notes from the hibiscus. My companion had the Bui, a boabab drink, which is made from the pulp of the boabab fruit and looks like milk, but has a very creamy texture that's similar to a smoothie. This one was also quite sweet and rich, with a flavor that I can't really describe, but it was delicious. The prices seemed very appropriate, or maybe even a bargain for the serving size and quality of the food. The service was kind, welcoming, and very casual. It really made us feel like we were invited over to a friend's for dinner. I highly recommend giving Dijah's Kitchen a shot whether you have had West African food before, or just want to try something new.
