Was in Grass Valley and saw the interesting dishes here so decided to try it and it didn’t disappoint. They immediately brought out fresh rolls with an herb flavored butter and a herb oil sauce. So good! I decided to try the grilled lamb skewers with cilantro sauce—the lamb was grilled perfectly, great grilled flavor and all the sauces were superb. Also had to try and black bean and cheese fried pupusa (totally different taste than El Salvadoran pupusas but still very interesting, crispy and with a very delicious slaw. Definitely try this place. I’ll be back (maybe tomorrow even though it’s 45 minutes away-ha!)
Went to visit Empire Mine State Park and was looking a place nearby. This is a quick 5-10 minutes drive from the park. It’s a cute little small restaurant. There is mainly street parking and doesn’t seem like there’s a specific parking lot. We were quickly greeted right away upon arrival and seated. They brought out bread to start of us off and my that was some really good bread. It was both soft and warm. Very delicious. I would suggest ordering the sunrise lemonade as well, very refreshing! I ordered the mushroom dish, and oh my, it was delicious! This place would be great for vegetarians and meat eaters as well. The options and possibility caters to all without skimping out on flavors.
Cute little restaurant with nice outdoor seating. I ordered a panqueque, (like a burrito), which was tasty, but it was just above luke warm. The plate it was served on, usually hot, was not. Good service/staff. As a side note, the dark bathroom needs a light coat of paint!
The food is very good! It’s pricey however the portions are huge. I highly recommend the chips and guacamole and the pupusas for appetizers. My boyfriend had the lamb antichuchos and he loved it. I got the crab relleno and it was a bit too heavy for me. The taste of the crab mixture in the relleno was reminiscent to Buffalo chicken dip—but with crab, in my opinion.
Delicious, unique food! We had the sunset lemonade, steak Panqueque, and the cooked banana dessert. The Chilean caramel sauce is amazing!
We were hiking in Colfax and by mistake found Diego's online not realizing it was about half hour out of our route, but let me tell you, it was worth it, the food reminds me from the ones I had in South America, no kidding, delicious with a hint of home made, the restaurant is small with a great decoration, makes you feel for a bit you are in small town in Chile or Argentina, even the soda was so good. The service is great and the restroom has a comfy chair for you to seat if you need to wait when you go wash your hands, but even in there the decor is beautifully done. Great place, go to Grass Valley, go to Diego's, I cant recommend enough and definitely will be back.
We LOVE Diego’s! From eclectic decor to the friendly staff to the delicious food - we love it all! The Hist, Max, is awesome and always so positive and friendly. The servers are always kind and attentive. Our favorite dishes are the Panqueque and the Flat Iron Steak - but have had lots of other great dishes, as well. Oh, and be sure to save room for the BBQ Banana at the end. I don’t really care for bananas, but when they’re grilled in their skin they get gooey and caramelized. Topped with ice cream and a drizzle of chocolate sauce and you won’t be sorry! Highly recommend!!
My all time favorite restaurant in Grass Valley, amazing staff amazing food that is always fresh and delicious. Also have met the owner and they are extremely kind and took the time to talk to me and thanked me for coming in. Everything on the menu is delicious and instead of chips and salsa they bring fresh warm bread with garlic butter and salsa. The atmosphere is friendly, the music is always on point. Recommend this place to anyone who wants great food at a great price.
Loved this coffee shop and bakery! We walked in and the place smelt absolutely amazing. The customer service was great as she helped lead us through some of the fresh options just out of the oven and discussed some of the homemade syrups. Definitely
This was one of the safest and most prosperous gold mine in state of California. Established around 1850s, the mine produced 165 tons of gold during its operation, has 11,000 feet deep and 367 miles long passages. This was a hard rock mine where rock
Stopped here today, what a great experience. Our docent, Larry, was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. So much to see we will have to visit again. Look forward to taking family on this excursion.

Amazing food and service! Wyatt is a busser but essentially acted as Rafaelâs assistant - 2X the service and it made all the difference. Thanks for the great Christmas Eve dinner. Everything was sublime.
Phenomenal food and experience. Fresh pita bread is baked daily on the spot. Hands made falafel like you would expect in an authentic Mediterranean restaurant. A real gem in Grass Valley!
This is one of my favorite breakfast places! We had family in from out of town and met for breakfast/lunch - a party of 8. We were seated right away and served quickly. Half the group all ordered the fried chicken sandwich. Holy cow! They looked amaz
