It is hidden behind pizza place. The first parking lot is convenient close to entering gate, which is unlocked, great if you show up at dark. The roads are wonderfully kept, some roads were gated with locks, but foot traffic is encouraged. Permit needed to camp over night. Be aware during hunting season, hunters are rude and will wake up at 6 am. Otherwise very quiet and nobody was there. All nature, no facilities, come prepared.
Nice spot for a little camping. Think hunting season is over, haven't heard any guns. They have water and are dog and horse friendly. As par, DWR's are permitted use. But a simple permit for the year is around $25. Not bad. Or have a hunting or fishing license.
They do not wish all the feels like they used to the fields is all grown up you cannot hardly see anyting and on the back side next to the old chicken the whole place needs p bush hogging
Had an awesome day dove hunting! I've been going up there for the last 8 years for opening day of dove and it has been horrible the last 6, mostly due to lack of trying on the planting and Bush hogging! I will say it would've been better if the fields were Bush hogged because we, as well as many other had trouble finding our birds, other than that fantastic!
This is a beautiful place. Just follow the road all the way to the end Park get out check out the ponds The Wildlife a well-managed Preserve and although it's also setup for seasonal hunting, again, it's well managed. We take our cameras and are never disappointed!
Great place, we were the only ones around besides the groundskeeper. We had 2adults and 3 dogs, the dogs loved the seemingly endless roaming options. Stayed for one night and would stay again.
Cool place. Nice roads to walk and hike. Well maintained and had some wildlife on it. Turkey hunted here but didn't have any luck. This place is more for dove hunting.
Nice WMA in South Side VA. Fairly well attended by deer hunters around noon on a late November Saturday, but most had gone home. Roads are well maintained and the fields were tilled.
