5-star food …. I don’t think so.
The restaurant is small. The tables are packed in tightly together. When we entered there was quite a crowd. The menu is on the wall. It is advisable to visit the restaurant’s Facebook page before you go to the restaurant. It will save time and save your neck, from trying to read the menu that is mounted up on the wall. There are helpful pictures on one of the walls. Order and pay at the counter. The food is delivered to the table.
My wife had the Chinese Chicken. Stewed chicken pieces smothered in a seasoned gravy over a big pile of rice with a little cabbage on the side. The gravy tasted like it may have been seasoned with Chinese Five Spice. The meat was good and it tasted fine, but overall boring and not recommended.
I had the Super Bowl. All the meats on this bowl were good. Bright red Char siu style chicken, good tender beef slices, and excellent tempura fried shrimp. All stacked on a big pile of rice noodles with a few slices of cabbage on the side. The noodles were in a sweet brown sauce that I didn’t care for. The fried shrimp is delicious and recommended. The food is not impressive enough to get me back in the restaurant or even recommend it over some of the other excellent Asian restaurants In Ft. Smith. Diamond Head 2, a version of average Chinese food.
Then there are these repurposed flip top Parmesan cheese containers (think Kraft Parmesan cheese bottles.) There are one or two of them on every table filled with a nasty looking sauce concoction. The top of the bottles are open, and they have a spoon stuck in them to serve yourself up whatever that is inside. You would have to be a brave soul to actually use the sauce. I’m surprised this gets past the health department.
I would give more than 5 stars if I could! This place is awesome! Service is great, they are the kindest and most friendly people. The food is AMAZING!!! I want to come back over and over until I have tried everything on the menu and then start over again 🤣.
I have ordered the curry shrimp for so many years. It has always been my absolute favorite dish. I haven't been there probably in the last 6 months to a year. I went today and they must have gotten a new cook. The vegetables are overcooked and too soft. The rice isn't even right but dry. The shrimp are the little tiny ones that you might find on a salad but they used to be large. In addition to that it tastes like a bunch of soy sauce and the price has gone up almost $4. I am so disappointed. If it tasted like I'm used to having gotten it, I wouldn't even care about the price change cuz I understand inflation but I can't eat this because it's just not good. I tried to eat it though. I really did.
This place was already busy a little bit after they opened. My friend recommended the drunken chicken and it did not disappoint, however it is a little sweet. You order as soon as you go in and then you can sit wherever you want. Prices are very reasonable.
Honestly, I thought this place was a strip joint because of the name, but I was surprised to see it's an actual restaurant. I've delayed my visit here for years and finally went. I had high hopes that this place was a hole-in-the-wall place with delicious food, but was utterly disappointed at the dishes we ordered. The customer service was cold but attentive, but during the 45 minutes we were there they had a lot of regulars. I ordered the pho with steak and got the sesame chicken for my son. The pho broth was nothing extraordinary and they threw in slices of beef topped with onions and herbs. The sesame chicken was most disappointing because the sesame sauce was literally a brown gravy. They sprinkled a ton of sesame seeds on top of the gravy covered breaded chicken. It tasted very much like a chicken fried steak with gravy and not sesame chicken.
They definitely have their regulars but I would not recommend this place for quality Asian food. The inside of the restaurant is tight and the decoration is a mix of collected items from someone's travels.
After your first visit you'll be a regular! Mr. Ten treats everyone like family, just swing by around 12:00 and check out the full tables of regulars. The menu may look limited but its packed with flavor, love, and 30 years of tradition.
Was my 1st time at Diamond Head! Drunken shrimp is so amazing, served super cool too! The brand new little moma who waited on us was more than amazing! Awesome family restaurant, welcoming atmosphere, amazing food!
Been eating here over 30 years. Food is delicious. My favorite is the bowl. No nuts! Or pork fried rice. Family run business and everything is always delicious

Asian Bistro is just really great Chinese takeout - bottom line! ð Iâve ordered-out from here at least six or seven times since I first discovered it, and someoneâs review I once read said it best: âItâs got a lot of the same foods youâl
I thoroughly enjoy the wonderful soaps, body moisture creams, and chapstick. The scents are wonderful. Some of the chapstick is seasonal, which makes it fun.
