Dewey Local Park - Park in Silver Spring - 11720 Dewey Rd, USA

I've been going to this dog park regularly for well over a year and have met a lot of nice, conscientious owners, but I've finally had enough of other owners not minding their pets. This morning, I got run into and knocked over by a pack of rowdy dogs. I got hit with enough force that I got a bruise on my leg and hurt my wrist in the process. Dogs will be dogs, but not one of the owners came over to help me up, offer an apology, or rein their dog in. A few weeks before, a dog took a giant poop with literally everyone standing there watching. The owner, nor anyone else, made an effort to pick it up, so finally I did it. On that note, I've noticed an increase in the amount of poop lying around over the last few months. The owners tend to congregate in one area and talk, zone out, or be on their phones. They often don't pay attention, and the dogs go off to the far end to poop and it doesn't get picked up. Aggressive dogs are often not dealt with. In addition to getting knocked over, I was bit by a dog over the summer while trying to pull that dog off mine. My husband visited a few months ago, and our dog was attacked and biten before even getting through the gate. The zoned out owner just shrugged her shoulders and mumbled some sort of reply but didn't do anything. My husband vowed never to go back. Minus the poop, physically it is nice park, but some negligent owners are wrecking it for everyone.

The park is nice and clean. The playground is well maintained. The dog park is big, nice and clean. There are 2 area, one for a small dog and another for a big dog. There is hockey ring next to the dog park as well and there are a lot of parking spots

Great large park to bring your kids, pets, and other loved ones. Very nice and clean playground for the kids. The dog park is large and sprawling. It's nice that there is a big dog and little dog park that are separated . It also has an outdoor gym that you can use to workout with body weight. All around a nice added benefit to the community.

Clean park with great facilities. Theres a good sized play area for kids with swings. Also a workout area for the parents. Not to forget the fenced in area for dogs. Overall, a good place for the whole family and pets.

Great rink that’s well maintained. Skate surface is debris and crack free. If you’re a seasoned skater I suggest using harder wheels since the floor is grippy and I felt my speed was slower than usual.

Only really explored the dog park, which seems to have all the features you'd like to see. Nice people, nice dogs, room to run around, all in a nice neighborhood. Will definitely go back.

The park has reopened! The playgrounds look like lots of fun and I've heard good things about the gym equipment, but I have yet to try it myself. The dog parks are great and my dog had a wonderful time. The park provides poop bags and trash cans. Lots of people wearing masks, including the kids playing. Please bring yours!

I'm so thankful for local government for rebuilding this Dewey local park for an amazing park for whole family members and also pets e eryone can easily enjoy their weekend also anytime when they looking for a relaxing time also get fit for healthy environment, fast but best my own children grown up by enjoying this playground so its very close to me and my family 👪 Love for All,
