Devil's River State Recreation Trailhead - Park in Denmark - Devil River State Trail, USA

A nice trail free most of it the last time I was there is fine rock no pavement. But it's easy enough to ride and very scenic.

This is a very well maintained crushed limestone bicycle trail. The main trailhead is in Denmark and the total distance is about 14 miles. We just biked the Denmark to Maribel section and back (about 10 miles). This section has a spectacular overlook of the Devil’s River from a wooden bridge. There is also a pond/swamp section that is very scenic.

Excellent trail for beginners. The parking area in Denmark is better than the other 3 areas along this trail. Nice bathrooms, services of the city are pretty easy to get to. When I pulled in, I could smell fresh pizza, yum! Love the depot water tower display, signs, banners on the light poles, etc. Everything had that hometown touch.

Bridge is around 3 miles from Denmark. Its a nice trail, but more appropriate for bicycles for how long it is

Friday, July 30, 2021. Parked at the Denmark trailhead with plenty of parking, clean restrooms, picnic tables. Trail was flat, dry, mostly tree covered and very well maintained. Beautiful and varied scenery: farm fields, cow pastures, woods, streams and marshes. Enjoy the solitude and the wildlife.

We only did a sample ride and went from Denmark to Maribel. Next time, I am going to finish this Trail

Ample parking, nice restrooms, picnic tables under a roof, and a Subway restaurant within walking distance of the Denmark trailhead. The 15-mile (one way) trail is in excellent condition. Be forwarned that there's no restroom at the other end.

It's a long trail but if you like quiet, it is a perfect rail trail to take.
