Beautiful sunsets, and easy to moderately difficult hikes (in terms of steepness) , this is a great place to pause and take a breather.

Lovely and serene. We hiked with our dog. It's a day after the snowstorm and there's a lot of mountains in the distance covered in snow. Parking was filling up by 1 pm. Plenty of benches to rest on. There are also some tables on grassy areas. Clean and has restrooms. We definitely will return.

Edited on December 5th 2022: Very nice park with a bit of history in it. Over all, nice visit, nice park and beautiful spread. Couple of trail heads to hike up the mountain if you're interested in that. Many upgrades since my first visit 2 years back. There is now a forest nature center and some new restrooms, it's looking nicer than before. Please take some time out of your day to stop by and visit this beautiful Park... the views are spectacular from the park itself and even nicer from up the hiking trails. Enjoy!🤘💀🤘

I thoroughly enjoy hiking at this location! It has multiple trails of various lengths and "difficulties". I suggest looking at the mountain model in the learning center to see the trails and descriptions if your unsure which one to go on. The learning center is very cute and small for both adults and kids to enjoy. There's also a grassy area to enjoy the view and play near the learning center without having to go on the hiking trails. There's 2 small parking lots as well. Some weekends are more full than others but you can find a spot for the most part.

A treasured spot in the community! This natural “retreat” in La Crescenta is a local favorite. Only a quick drive away from the business of Foothill, I love coming here to get away for a little bit. Great hikes, pleasant views, dog-friendly, and suitable for picnics too! You’ll obviously run into lizards, rabbits, birds… but keep an eye out for the occasional snake, coyote, and, although unlikely, bear 🐻. Note: park hours often change so don’t get locked in after hours! We are lucky to have Deukmejian in our neighborhood and it will always be a family favorite!

This park was always beautiful but the Station Fire in 2009 did a lot of damage to the coastal sage scrub. Now, 13 years later, everything looks gorgeous again and the flowers are in bloom this spring and the oaks are even coming back for the most part. Meanwhile, the city dramatically improved the park and the old barn and turned it into a fantastic nature center. You've got to love the planting of wine grapes too. As a geographer, I love it when development reflects the history of a particular place. There are great picnic tables and small grassy areas for your dog or your kids. The views over La Crescenta, Tujunga, and Whiting Woods are fantastic. Nice new bathroom facilities as well. And, of course the steep but scenic trails up the mountains.

Beautiful lightly trafficked trails. Lots of options to keep things interesting. You can go all the way up to Mt Lukens or take an easier path towards the river.
