We needed an overnight stop and Destiny was a great option. They only had one spot left which was in the grassy field next to the bathrooms/showers so our only neighbors were trees which provided a bit of shade. There was even a 50Amp plug on the side of the building we could use. Tom, the manager, was very friendly and accommodating. The young guy that greeted me when we got to the office was also very friendly. Before we took off in the morning we walked over to the boat launch and park area lining the Colorado River. Beautiful setting in the middle of the desert.

We've always launched our skies here, and we are back with a new set. Looking to have a great day

Stayed for a week, and very quiet during the week, but weekends can get packed, and your typical parties. All staff very pleasant and willing to help out in any way they can. I'd give it a 10 rating, but settled for a 9. Park starting to have some age related issues with water pipes and electrical, but not that big of an issue. The grounds are well kept, and just a beautiful place to relax. Swimming, boating, and close to town if ya want to eat out. Also has a general store, gas, propane, air, boat ramp, and showers.

I love this camp ground. The staff are always friendly and helpful. They have picnic tables, bbq grilles, a store with all the essentials, showers. I always camp in a tent so I can only review for "tenting it." The only thing I would want to know about if I have never been here is to make sure you bring shower shoes. Although the bathrooms are pretty clean the showers are camp ground showers so be aware of that. This place is awesome though. It has a good beach, launch ramp and plenty of spots for camping. We have been going to this camp grounds for years but this time I think was the best time yet so I wanted make sure they are getting the recognition they deserve.

I'm not sure what to make of this camping spot, and "average" really doesn't characterize it. It's below average, but not "poor." I chose it because I was doing a practice motorcycle ride in the desert (in preparation for a cross country trip) and it was near the river but remote enough to test my camping apparatus. It was a very hot day (near 100) and I arrived there at 4 pm. To their credit, the managers had left a note on the store door with a map so I could find my campsite (without this I would not have been able to locate my designated campsite, because they are not marked). So, that was helpful - although, it would be more helpful if they were marked. The store was closed. This put me in the uncomfortable position of only having the water I brought with me, since the water at the campsites appeared to be non-potable. I suppose if I were desperate I could've boiled it. So, I paid $30 for a site "with water" that I couldn't really use. There was no one there to inquire. The second problem was the sprinklers, which have to run constantly to keep the grass looking even average, because - as I mention below - it's a godforsaken desert. Because the sprinklers constantly chirped in their relentless half circles, it was impossible to get to the showers without getting wet, either entering or exiting. So, no shower for me despite the fact that I was very hot.||||The sprinklers ran all night, surrounding me. The managers had turned them off for my campsite (I suppose), although I had to surmise this based on the fact that I wasn't soaked when I woke up. ||||The place is about 10 miles south of Blythe, in the middle of nowhere. So, it's quiet. Eerily quiet, yet full of RVs & sprinklers. If it were not for the river, and constant grass watering, it would be a god-forsaken desert. ||||The basic problem here is that it's difficult to use the amenities, such as the store and the showers and the water, if they aren't accessible. Someone needs to be onsite and available … otherwise charge a reasonable rate for a tent site (like $15).||||The upside: a fair amount of shade (thank god), a picnic table, and relatively clean bathrooms. The downside: all of the above. I will admit, I came here when it was hot to simulate a "worst-case scenario" camping experience … don't go after April if you can help it.||||If you like to be alone and/or feel like the last survivor of a nuclear war, this is a pretty good spot.

I went tent camping here for five nights the week before and partway into Memorial Day weekend with a family who'd been coming for years, though it'd been several years since they'd visited. We learned that new management/owner took over a few years ago, and it seems to be an unfortunate change based on what they said (it was my first -- and last -- time there).||||The grounds are fine. The grass is green despite being in the middle of the desert. The little beach along an inlet of sorts along the Colorado River was nice, though got super packed by the holiday weekend. The upkeep of the bathroom facilities, which is a pretty darn important part of camping in my mind, was pathetic. In the five nights we were there, the bathrooms were actually cleaned once (after we alerted staff many times that they needed attention). I wasn't thrilled with the bathrooms in general upon arrival, but they were tolerable (and yes, the toilets are freakishly high off the ground, as another review said). It only got worse going into the holiday weekend.||||Of course you expect a campground to be busy over a three-day weekend. The camp management knew this. In fact, they made us move our campsite TWICE, two days in a row, because they needed to mark fire lanes. There was nothing marked when we arrived, and it's a first-come, first-served sort of pick-your-spot place. No one ever came over to tell us, they just lazily pointed from inside the store in the general direction we weren't supposed to be, apparently. So they knew it was going to get crowded.||||But clearly this place is about quantity, not quality. Because by Fri/Sat, it was packed to the brim. Tent-on-tent-on-tent. We were paying for several cars/tents at our site, $25 per night per car. So they were making thousands upon thousands of dollars from all those packed in tents all weekend. But they clearly were understaffed -- even though they knew, and told us, how busy it was going to be. The bathrooms got worse and worse. One of the three sinks in the ladies room remained clogged for three days. The soap was out for about 12 hours and only got replaced after we asked. The paper towels were out most of a day, which I didn't even care that much but it was principle at this point. I asked them to replace the paper towels three times in an eight-hour period, which then they finally were.||||The worst were the showers. I tried very hard to not touch anything I didn't have to while in there. And by the last night, they were disgusting and clearly had not been touched by cleaning staff. There was a bloody tampon on the floor of the women's shower, and someone defecated on the floor of one of the men's room showers. I get that the staff cannot control what disgusting things people do in the bathrooms, but I also believe people will be more respectful of a place if they are treated with respect and the people working there care about the cleanliness of the facilities. We were out of there fast Sunday morning of Memorial Day weekend, already wishing we'd left the day before. I can only imagine it got worse into Sunday/Monday. The people with permanent RV spots seemed less bothered, since they don't have to use the bathrooms, but we saw quite a few RV spots up for sale as well. I would not recommend tent camping here, or at least not over a busy weekend. And be prepared to have to bug staff repeatedly for basic things that should be looked in on periodically without asking. I'm not sure they would have ever replaced anything had we not asked them (politely) multiple times. Some staff were more helpful than others, including the guy doing most of the actual cleaning, but he was clearly overworked because they were understaffed.

Visited on December 2014 Place have the potential, but it is not maintained well. Bathrooms and showers were dirty and not maintained. We arrived about 6pm, it was hard to find our parking spot and needed help from other campers. The spot was behind another RV and we needed to ask him to move his car so we can park (All campers were very nice and helpful). No table. Will not stop at this campground again.

So this is like a hidden gem of a beach! I probably should not be leaving a good review for fear that people will read this and want to go lol. But here goes this is a very small beach but is wonderful to hang out in the river on. The people working here are super friendly and always there to help. It is I believe 10 dollars to launch your skiis or boat. They have camping spots for tents and they also have full hook ups for trailers and motorhomes. They have very clean restrooms and they are close to the launch ramp for a convenient location. They have picnic benches so when you are at the beach you have a place to sit. This place gets super crowded especially in the summer time because it is one of the best beaches in Blythe. They have rules of you are camping like quiet times and such so everyone has a good time.
