a lovely place to explore without the crowds of the park. saw tons of wildflowers, quail, and even a desert horned lizard! beautiful views of the snow capped mountains, with many cacti and joshua trees. had some informative signs about the plants and animals in the area! as well as a clean pit toilet. dog friendly! open 7am-7pm on the dot! only complaint: the two trails are not marked well at all and are very difficult to follow. so just be open minded as you explore and make it an adventure for yourself, as opposed to following a specific trail!
Quiet place to hike without the crowds. Plenty to explore and experience.
Wonderful cycling and walking area for all the family. Enjoy the desert... but sometimes it can get crowded!
Hidden gem, closer in to town than the national park even. Loads of great plants, geology, and lizards! While the road in would best be for AWD or 4WD, great hiking for most abilities.
Plenty of trails for hiking and bicycling. No motorized vehicles. No crowds. Lots of nature. It's quite nice.
Excellent mountain biking. Get trail forks. Ride Luge in, explore and ride Haggis and Scout out. It's a grind in sand to get in but totally worth it.
Great place to climb some rocks go on a nice short hike and look at the cool plants and such
Closest hike in Joshua tree that I’ve found so far. Neat rocky path down through the mountains with some Joshua trees here and there.

I love that they keep some of the Cambodian recipes from the original owner in the menu. Really great place for breakfast and people watching. The tres leches pancakes were unreal. Had a hard time keeping them away from the rest of table. Shredded ha
A free and enjoyable reclaimed material art display in the middle of the desert. To some it may look like junk, but there is definitely an element of real art to many of the pieces. Itâs worth seeing considering the fact of how unique it is and def
I ordered the vanilla latte and it was delish! Not too sweet which is perfect! Service was nice and it's a cute little coffee shop with nice decor and a cute little patio area. Will continue to come here when I go to Joshua Tree NP.
