Desert Trails RV Park - Featured Reviews (228)
Loved this RV Park! We stayed 3 weeks in April. Sites are large size, and many offer privacy with trees and mini desert gardens between them.
The park's north border backs up to some epic desert trails for mountain biking, hiking, or just quiet walks amongst the lush desert vegetation. The birds sing a constant symphony from dawn to dusk, and lots of other wildlife like coyotes, rabbits, lizards, and great horned owls to observe.
Really enjoyed the NO KIDS ALLOWED rule! Made for a nice adult experience with no distracting little human energy! There is a little "mountain" in the middle of the park for great sunset and moonrise views. Most days we didn't even leave the park as there was so much to do on site like a swimming pool, library, gym, laundry room, TV Lounge, and nature, nature, nature!! Definitely recommend!!
The park borders on 2 huge parks for easy access to the desert.
The manager, Jesse, works tirelessly to help the residents in every possible way.. She is warm, kind and professional, going the extra mile is standard in her daily approach to residents and managing the office. Jesse knows everyone by name and is always ready to lend a warm smile and helping hand.
Few yrs here now unfortunately no summer travel. New owners. 1st yr new sewer system multiple backhoes huge hole swimming pool size walk through sewer pipes. No more smell. All buildings new wood outside new sheet rock inside fresh paint in and out. Apts by pool Threw out furniture tore up floors. Now new floors new furniture. Swimming pool if it’s cold outside the water is heated. State of the art wood shop best quality money can buy. New state of the art kitchen we still have the old kitchen. Put in new pool tables did like them sent them back now we have high quality pool tables top of the line Putting in new wiring cable Internet phone something else also. Took out the old water pipes planning a weddings venue best sunsets in Arizona here. Who ever cutting the cactus and bushes we have a manicured park now. Everything is upgraded high quality. Great managers really friendly if you treat them good they treat you good treat them bad you get bad back. When the plumbing breaks down from old owner they use quality plumbing parts. Really nice park in the middle of the desert. Even the bic walking paths are manicured. If your coming to Arizona in a rv do yourself a favor. You won’t regret it.
Just stopped in for one night while passing thru Tucson area, but we'd definitely return for a longer stay. Nicely laid out park. Friendly folks everywhere. Great views. Close to Saguaro Nat Park.
We enjoyed our brief stay at Desert Trails RV Park. We love Tucson, and it's one of our favorite spots for the winter. We tend to stay at the neighboring park Justin's Diamond J, which has a little simpler and more open feel. However, we were impressed with all of the amenities offered at this park: showers and laundry, dog parks, a pool, and plenty of areas for gathering and activities. They have a thriving community with a calendar of events -- including concerts -- and we particularly love that the park backs up to a beautiful trail system leading to Tucson Mountain State Park. It's also in a great location near Saguaro National Park, the newly reopened Old Tucson Studios, and the Desert Museum. Check our YouTube video for more details on the park and surrounding restaurants and attractions. *Note that this is a 40+ park.*
Desert Trails RV Park is a hidden gem in Tucson. Located just outside of Saguaro National Park, the RV Park has a lot of amenities: showers, swimming pool, workout room, library, clubhouse, kitchen, game room, and scheduled activities during the winter. It is surrounded by several scenic bike and hiking trails. Everything is a bit rustic but works fine. Our full hookups worked and we had no problems. The WiFi worked fine on all our devices. The RV park is a winter resort, so you'll have more difficulty finding reservations between November and April. However, during the summer, it's practically empty - which is great if you want privacy. Jesse runs the place, and she is friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend this RV park.
5th time there. Men's showers pretty minimal. Ones by the pool have never worked. Pool ice cold this year and hot tub, more like a petri dish. Great propane service, wonderful location. Emptiest we've seen it. Still like it but... seems to be slipping a wee bit. Sign of the times. Would probably stay there again, hoping they put some time into the pool area, like they do the golf course.

Spent 4 nights at Boneyard Vista on Davis Monthan Air Force Base, and my wife and I thought it was one of the nicest campgrounds we'd stay in since starting our trip on Sept 1, 2022. (we've seen a lot of campgrounds). The old campground is across fr
Not hotel. Well managed 55+ park for small manufactured homes, RVs and trailers. Popular for extended snowbird winter stays and a few year round residents. Step brother stays here
We stayed here after having vehicle issues, and the camp host was just the kindest, most helpful person to work with. The actual park is small, but it was absolutely perfect for my family! I have two kids under 5, and they just LOVED the pool. It was
Whatever kind of "-vore" you are, you will not be disappointed...these are some of the best pastries I've ever had!
I was fortunate to stumble upon this place while visiting from out of town. I had a lovely chat with one of the owners who talked me
Had a wonderful time with friends! The staff were friendly and helpful with instruction and staying engaged with our group. Facility was clean and organized. Having the option of throwing axes or throwing stars was neat! Will definitely come back.
Family fun for all ages! 100% recommended. We had such an amazing time last night with our family. We seen the Christmas show. This will definitely be a new tradition to attend every year to start the holidays off. Thank you performers you were in
ADORABLE shop, lots of cute stationery, cards, and stickers. They do fun crafty events and this would be a great spot to create a trendy gift basket for a friend for any occasion!
