Desert Rose Motel and RV Storage - Motel in Mesa - 8924 E Main St, USA

I am a Preacher..a friend was staying there when we got a call. He was very ill..We came over right away. Entered room and within seconds a knock at the door..manager. It turns out they have a no visitor rule..a policy very much illegal by inkeepers rules and regulations. He left us alone as I went and got medicine. I learned that he had managed to call a friend to come watch over him..and the manager had bullied her and turned her away..I dont know what will come next this nite but beware if they harass my friend even slightly..

4.5 years ago I spent 13 months here. I had no problems. The owner, Richard is a very nice man. The place is kind of old and the rooms are kind of modest, but the price reflects that.

The price was crazy high. But it was NASCAR WEEKENDThe website said there were full kitchens in the rooms. There were not. A microwave and mini mini fridge. The lights did not even have lamp shades. Had to make one! And the TV STOPPED GETTING RECEPTION AT 10 PM DID NOT GET IT BACK TIL LESS THAN AN HOUR BEFORE WE HAD TO CHECK OUT But the olace was clean. And I FELT very safe there. Awesome shower!! Just let the water run for a minute to get rid of the smell.

Desert Rose Motel has been perfect for my needs. It is kept very clean and it is quiet. You can park right outside your door and they don't bother you about cleaning your room when renting weekly . They will clean per your request. Quick access to the freeway and shopping too. I like it so much that I would love to live here.

Owner / manager was very rude. I was with my three young children in a minivan, parked in a parking space for just a few minutes when he came from a nearby dumpster and approached us in a confrontational manner. I was hesitant to talk to this strange man through my window, but thought maybe he was trying to be helpful. I was wrong. I explained that I was unfamiliar with the area and just parked in a safe spot to figure out the location of a school bus stop. Red Mountain High School has the name and address of the Desert Rose Motel on their website for one of the stops, but he insisted that I was wrong. He kept repeating that the stop would be somewhere on the street, not there. He treated me as if I was doing something wrong and made it clear that I needed to leave. I'm not sure how a mom in a nice, new minivan with little kids is a problem but he did not want us there. I would NOT support this business. Also, do not let your kids use that bus stop - it is in a sketchy area and I would NOT feel comfortable with kids waiting there! They will get harrassed! I will be reporting this to the bus company and school.

Awesome customer service, even after arriving late from a very long drive from Washington my husband and I were able to get into a cozy room and rest up for an awesome price. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Thank you for your hospitality and great service.

Great service, very polite and allowed early check in. The price is affordable and is a much better value compared to the other motels around here. It's clean, homie and quiet. In the future if a motel is needed, this place will be my 1st choice and I definitely would/will recommend staying here.

I visited the motel but did not stay there. I was looking for a hotel near Saguaro lake for my mother-in-law to stay with our young daughter while my wife and I anchored out in our boat. This motel of course has a convenient location for accessing the salt river lakes, and someone did a pretty good job on their web site. It may have had something to do with the 26-foot boat I was towing, but when I arrived, the price was a bit higher than what I was told on the phone. The manager (owner?) said that I was quoted the weekday price even though I specifically asked about Saturday night. After some haggling, he did agree to honor the previously quoted price though. I wanted to see a room first. It appeared that many of the rooms were occupied by permanent residents, and it did not seem like a safe environment for my daughter and mother-in-law. The room smelled heavily of smoke, and just looked "old" in all of the ways that a cheap motel room can. In spite of the website boasting 3 acres of parking for RV's and trailers, there is a giant gate blocking off the parking lot at the end of the building, which does not give you room to turn around with a trailer. Initially, the manager/owner said he would open the gate to allow us to turn the boat around. After inspecting a room, and letting the manager know that we would like to check the internet for other offers in the area before committing, he told us to "just go now" and immediately walked away, ignoring a question about whether or not he would open the gate to allow us to turn around. I had to back the boat off the road between the citrus trees in his "orchard" in order to turn around, which greatly entertained the apparent residents sitting in collapsible chairs in front of their rooms. Because of the misleading web site and the boat that I was dragging behind me, I felt that I was committed before arriving and was not prepared to haul a trailer all over town inspecting alternatives. However, due the condition of the site and the blatantly inhospitable nature of the hosts, we had two extra guests on our boat that night that were not really prepared to overnight on the lake with a 50 degree night-time low.
