Older facility but well taken care of. Carol at the front office is wonderful and so considerate to help however she can. My wife and I (Roy and Kathy Voeller) enjoyed this park so well, we booked another three week stay for three weeks from now at this writing. My wife loved the line dancing lessons, especially the teachers, the jam session and chair yoga. Also was so happy with being able to attend activities at the park next door as there is a connecting path to get to it. Enough activities to keep you entertained! Even an occasional lunch or dinner offering. You pay for it but price was right. |Laundry room was great. Nice large capacity washers and dryers. Although, having to use the CSC laundry cards is not our cup of tea. Not a deal breaker though. |The community of permanent residents are very friendly and welcoming to us rv travelers. If you have dogs you’ll really appreciate the dog park area. Huge and so well maintained. |Overall I enjoyed our time here and definitely recommend it!
We enjoyed our stay at Desert Paradise. Our site was a good size and close to amenities. The pool was beautiful and very clean. We enjoyed the St. Patrick's Day dinner and the craft fair. We met new friends and had a great time!
Have to purchase a laundry card, which is only $2 but really? No one shows you how to add money to it, but you can. Sites are very tight and the trains that are almost 24:7 are very loud. If you can sleep with a sound machine or ear plugs then it’s a nice park. Also, dogs aren’t allowed to do their business anywhere in the park, I tried telling my dog not to pee, but, that didn’t go over too well with him. The only place to take him was outside the park on a busy street. Tight spots and no dog park, only negatives. Everything else was wonderful. Nice people, 55 over only and everyone was super friendly.
Paradise is a great place to stay. Close to everything. Spaces are small. Train runs night and day but only a rumble, not supposed to blow their horn. But occasionally I think they forget. Great staff. Lots to see and do.
After 2 weeks here at the rv resort we are sad to leave. But know we’ll definitely be back!! It’s very clean and friendly. The trees are beautiful.

A park with improvements made but many more needed to bring a acceptable rating to the forefront. Customer focus in the office by the assistant manager is lacking. Pools and hot tub seem to be a consistent issue. Manager of both Desert Paradise and Cactus Gardens is making headway with improvements and will take time to address all issues. We look forward to seeing many more issues resolved when we return next season.
Lady at the reception was less than friendly but we enjoyed everything else, activities, food, etc. Rest of the staff and residents were very friendly. Our site was near the road so quite noizy, we got used to it.
The name Desert Paradise is a little deceiving. It's an older park and the amenities all need renovations. Ninety percent of the RV sites are 30 amp & the park was originally built before slides on RVs were being installed so the sites are a bit tight. But having said that it's the friendliest RV park we've stayed in, the people who stay here are great! We always enjoyed our stay here because of the other guests.
We were there during Covid. Nice park, however it is off of a main busy street. And just so you know military jets fly over quite often. Nice park, nice location.
Great restaurant, great chef, very good service. Friendly servers that are happy to help you with food selections. We had a fantastic fish and chips dinner. Daily specials. Full bar with cocktails and good selection of beers.
We had a party of 6 and made reservations over the phone a few days in advance. They do not serve food, but allow outside food in (but not drinks). So, we brought in a charcuterie board from Simply Boxed, here in Yuma. The beer selection is outstan
Bit hard to find, but well worth the visit. Fantastic food and wine. Get whatever the owner recommends. He's the expert. Reminded me of my best experiences in Italy
This was recommended to us by someone and we had to stop by. The food was delicious and the service was great. We will definitely be coming back to try the other things on their menu.
