It’s what you’d expect for the price. The rooms could have been a bit more comfortable and clean. They forgot our towels, lacked adequate lighting and outlets, but were very nice and accommodating. They let us check out late, offered us use of their microwave, etc. Overall, if you want to see downtown Chicago on a dime, this motel ain’t bad.

This is a good place to crash for the night but the people working here are so rude. There is no hospitality and they treat you like you’re not a human being. One guy working here was making fun of me when I turned in my key with my id. I offered my id to be helpful in case they needed it. If they didn’t they could have just said so and not be rude about it. I’m a customer after all. You could at least wait till I’m gone from the room to talk about me with your wife or whoever the woman beside him was.

This was a bad experience. The room was not cleaned properly. There were eyelashes floating in the toilet when we arrived, a condom wrapper by the foot of the bed. The heat was not working, and the in unit air conditioner had a gap to the outside which let in cold air. Very disappointed for the deluxe room at 100.00 per night non refundable. They show you a picture of the room so you can see it before because it's not refundable. I DO NOT recommend this establishment.

I've stayed here many many times over the last 4 years and am now looking into renting a kitchette for a while.... It has always been clean and nice. And the one time we got a room where the ac didn't work? We were changed almost immediately and they deducted money off for our inconvenience.... Wonderful people wonderful place. If it wasn't i wouldn't be looking into staying there for a while would I?

I recently stayed here and was a bit confused by a couple of the negative reviews. This place was great, it was very cleaned and very well maintained. The customer service was excellent. Management was very polite and attentive to our needs. Someone clearly cares about this place which is more that can be said for even some of the higher end chains. This place is a true hidden gem. Some people clearly will never be pleased and have already have negative bias that can't be changed about places that aren't the Ritz Carlton or a Hilton. It is a shame that people will just go and write terrible reviews on a place that aren't even true just because they didn't get their way about something that was probably their fault in the first place. I never write reviews but after my stellar experience here I was compelled write what I felt about this place. Take my advice, forget the nay-sayers and try out this little diamond in the rough for yourself. You won't be disappointed.

I strongly recomend not rent a room here run down property and not safe. Floors are very sticky, bugs in room, dirty linens, paints chipped lights only works sometimes, no outlets near bed for phone charging. I would give zero rating if i can.Front desk is not helpfull at all. No microwave in the room window does not open. Again do not rent a room here.

I rented a room for a week, they only accepted cash up front with a cash deposit also. No problem, just that kind of place.||||Uncomfortable/dirty: The bed was wrapped in plastic and had a bed sheet over it. The sheets had a "weekly" stamp on it, meaning they only washed the sheets once a week (same with towels). Everything felt oily, especially the couch. I sat on the couch with shorts and a t-shirt, and the back of my legs/arms immediately started to itch and my skin and clothes were covered with oil. Disgusting.||||TERRIBLE customer service: I checked-in around 10pm. The fire alarm was beeping every 10-15 seconds (low battery). So I went to the office to tell them of the problem, and the guy annoyingly told me that there's nothing he can do about it now because no maintenance is there. All he can do is put in a maintenance request for the next day. I asked him to just give me a new battery, and he said he can't. He doesn't have any and I just have to put up with the beeping. Worst, anxiety-filled, night of sleep. "Beep... beep... beep..." all night.||||So I called the manager the next day and asked if I could get a credit for that night and she said, "no way!" Horrible attitude. No apologies at all, more of an accusatory tone. Told me that it was my fault for checking in late. I told her I never heard that before, and if it was a problem, they should've told me at check-in. Told me I should've just taken the battery out. I told her that the alarm is hard-wired into the electricity and the battery is there in case the power goes out so taking the battery out makes no difference. Told me that I should've taken the wires out. Really?? It's my fault/responsibility to take out the wires from the alarm attached to the ceiling? She said that there's nothing she can do. I asked if she could take a battery from a different room that's not being used and she said, "absolutely not."||||I come back at around 10pm again after work and the fire alarm is STILL beeping. I went to the office and they said they forgot to put in the maintenance request. I told them that there is no way I can sleep another night with the beeping, and she just kept telling me there's nothing they can do and I can leave if I like. She literally told me that their business would be fine with or without me as a guest. I asked that if I went to buy a battery myself, if they would at least reimburse me for that. She said probably not but that she would check with the owner.||||I bought a battery myself and replaced the battery in the fire alarm. Stayed there that night, and woke up to a note on the door that said that the owner had been contacted and "NO refunds/credits will be given." The word "NO" was in bold and capitalized. Jerks.||||So I went to check out, said my "pleases and thank yous" and was still given a terrible attitude. The manager just kept mumbling, groaning, and definitely was not saying any, "sorrys or you're welcomes." Absolute worst experience ever.

They have bugs roaches and they rooms are dirty they will not refund your money back. This was a very horrible experience
