Denny's - Diner in Madisonville - 60 Ruby Dr, USA

I have to admit that I was a bit hesitant to actually come back to Denny’s after the horrible experiences that Ive encountered in the past year or more . . However, I am very happy to admit that this past Tuesday & Wednesday nights - they have done a complete 180 Degrees!! 😀 First off, I have to say after a long day and evening of working, it was so nice to have a nice quiet atmosphere and to be greeted by such a beautiful smile 😊 My Server, Sarah, just put me in a nice comfortable state of ease. . . She was so friendly and I hesitantly ordered coffee. . . You know how usually at restaurants you get your first cuppa and then you never see a refill. . Boy did I have Sarah Pegged wrong! ! In fact, as I would find out later - I should have just said no to the caffeine and the coffee as I tried to fall asleep later and had just given up. . Hello Insomnia 😅 She never let that cup even get halfway empty! She was on it! Extra napkins - and all of this, even before I had to ask, I love that she could read my mind, even before I had to even ask - 💕 On Tuesday night I had a grilled chicken sandwich and season fries that were absolutely amazing! I wanted wavy but they were out of stock but we’re even kind enough to not even charge me they usually upgraded price of $.99 for the season fries ! I hadn’t had a chicken breast sandwich, that was that juicy, in longer than I could remember . . Before I could even ask, this young man named Ross, who had cooked this delicious meal, came out to ask me if I was enjoying my food. . As someone who has worked in the food and beverage industry for over 20 years, I was very impressed, especially at Denny’s that someone would even bother to come out and ask such a question. ( In this day & age - if your not dining at Les Chez Fancy )of course. . . I then proceeded to tell him that it was the best thing that I have experienced at Denny’s in more than a year. . Of course, he was more than apologetic for this, and I told him it was not his fault. He hadn’t been cooking ALL those other meals BUT he went above and beyond to make sure that my experience reached and exceeded anything that I had experienced at this location! I then came back the next night to have my long, awaited turkey breast and stuffing dinner that you see pictured here! Again, after a long day and night of working, I was starved and was very eager to see Ross cooking again, and shortly after being seated, Sarah was on the late shift serving! These two make such a team- Just magic, I tell you! The portion was outstanding, and again, he hit it out of the park. . As always, Sarah never let my drink hit more than halfway through this time, I learned, though I didn’t get coffee as I was wired from the night before, and I just couldn’t ask for a more friendly server. . Her smile and positive attitude is infectious!! I think that they’ve done a real turnaround guys, and I am more than happy after two experiences now to post a review for five stars! I can’t say enough, good things about the food and the service and these two lovely individuals! The portions, the taste and just the friendliness and the positivity I mean not to sound corny, but I have to say it kind of felt like a nice local Mom and pop. . 5 🌟

There was 1 waitress on duty on a Saturday night. The manager was there, but was hiding in the back somewhere for almost the entire time. It took 20 minutes to get our drinks. The waitress was stressed and running around the best she could. There appeared to be only one cook also, but i might be wrong on that. we watched people wait for close to 10 minutes just to pay for their food.

The service was good. I ordered hamburger and fries but they were NOT what they used to be! Denny's used to have wonderful crinkle cut fries. The hamburger was tough and the bun was also tough and tasted like it may've been heated in the microwave while waiting for my husband's steak to get done, it was not good. Instead of using good iceberg lettuce they have the old unpopular romaine lettuce which I threw off the burger, was not a good experience. My husband went in and had breakfast one morning and said nothing was good, that's sad. Even though we're local I doubt if we'll be back anytime soon unless we hear Denny's has had a major overhaul.

My husband and I had dinner here, very late, and it was delicious. We both had breakfast for dinner (the double berry banana pancake slam for me, and the build your own slam with extra bacon for my husband). There was only one oddity about my pancakes. About three bites in, I took a bite of the pancakes and had a very weird taste of either garlic or onion. It happened only for that one bite, and I almost stopped eating totally. Luckily, I was able to get rid of the taste with my drink and by taking a little bit of a break in my eating. Our waitress, Aspen, was excellent. I do recommend you go to Dennys, get the Double Berry Banana slam, and ask for Aspen as your server! You will be very happy. =)

Friendly place, with decent service as long as your server likes her/his job. The food however,They need a better cook. Twice now I've had to return my food because it wasn't cooked properly. And for what we got 2 people it was kinda costly but hey what isn't anymore.

This is a hit or miss establishment. You either have a great experience or they totally miss the mark. Last night they totally missed the mark. It took forever to be seated and the place was empty and more than plenty of staff. Food took over an hour to be prepared. It could be understood if they were busy but there were only 2 other tables occupied and we all came in at different times. My food was super greasy and nearly burnt, my SO's food was spot on.

Expensive as hell. $40 for two people. Waited 30 minutes for our food and it was warm not steaming hot as if freshly made. Tasted a little off and this isn't the first time. Sausage tasted very watery. I can say the fruits for once were actually fresh and not frozen and thawed out. Service was okay.

My husband and I came in tonight and our server was Shawn. He treated us great. Had so much respect. Got our food out in a record time. Kept our drinks full. Checked on us often. We had a great experience. Thank you Shawn for everything tonight. We greatly appreciate you and all that you do. Keep being awesome! You truly deserve a raise of some sort. Thank you again.
