While I can't say a ton about the food, it's Denny's, let's be real here. But onion rings and endless coffee did hit the spot for curbing my woes that late night/wee-morning, however the standout is the service we got. Our waiter was very personable and made us feel taken care of, making sure to check in often and ask if we needed a refill or anything else. He really went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and had condiments or whatever we needed, I very much appreciated that after such a long night with car troubles (ending us up at Denny's door)...

I had a really bad experience today after ordering my food to go via UberEats. I am really not much of a complainer when it comes to restaurant service since I work at one too, and I rarely have to write bad reviews. This was not passable though, and I do hope I can get a refund. For the manager's note, the order number was #0F41C It was the Double Cheeseburger that I often get at Denny's and it's really good, but this is the 2nd time I had ordered it at this location. 1st time wasn't too noteworthy but this one was very bad. For one, the service when I came to the restaurant was very poor. The guy working the host stand was clearly not wanting to be there and when I told him my name for the order I was picking up (which was right at the counter to the right, he told me to wait a second and then he went past the bag and went to deliver food from the foodline to other people despite him not rushing to do so prior to my arrival. It was a minor thing, but he then attempted to hand me the order without checking if there was a drink, which there was, and I had to remind him. This is honestly just typical "I don't wanna be here" worker behaviour which, while I can understand, I don't support, as a hard worker myself. But none of that would be enough to warrant this review. When I got him and I opened the burger, immediately I noticed it was very greasy and smelled off. The wrapping around the burger was drenched in meat grease. Then, after a few bites, it felt oddly cold. I reheated the burger and tried again, and then I realise that it was cold because it was undercooked, severely. I've added a picture here to show how red the beef was. Keep in mind, this isn't making the burger rare, this is uncooked ground beef which is not supposed to be served as if it was rare. It needs to be cooked all the way through. I noted when I picked up that the restaurant wasn't busy. It was about 6PM so there wasn't any need to rush the order, and yet it was clear my order was very rushed. Even the presentation was off, the burger was a third poking out the side. Ultimately I could not finish the burger because the taste of raw beef was too much and I tossed it after only about 5 bites. Had I not realised, who knows what food poisoning I could have received. I don't know the proper way to go about this, but if the owner of this location sees this review, I would appreciate a refund as this was not an enjoyable meal. I do my best to give the benefit of the doubt but I cross the line when I'm served potentially harmful food.

I ordered online and it was not complete nor ready when it said it would be. The order was for turkey bacon--2 slices and that was not in the order; 2 pancakes; that was not in the order. When the order was finally prepared and ready for me to pick it up. The older dyed red-head hostess shrugged her shoulders indicating to me that she did not care that it took so long to complete the order. I discovered when we returned to our room that the meal was incomplete. I called back to Denny's and asked to speak with the manager. I was told that he was busy in his back office. I asked when would he be available, I was told that he would not be, but I could call back. I stated that I would contact corporate. I typically don't eat at Denny's but we were traveling and it was mother's day. I figured who could mess up breakfast? Well, Denny's in Sherman Oaks wins that prize. If I could rate the service negatively I would. Also leave the new hire alone, your cooking staff is toooooo slow. That's your operational problem.

Came on a Saturday night/Sunday morning for a quick bite after a night out. No wait for 2; place was not crowded. Parking was terrible. No street parking and it took us 10 minutes to find parking in the lot. The lot is shared with a motel and it was crowded. Parking is also tight so larger vehicles may have issues squeezing into a space. Service was good. Food was ok. I had the French toast slam, which was good. Sausages and scrambled eggs were ok. Also had the chicken tender appetizer, which was pretty greasy but expected. My friend had the Cali Club sandwich with fries and it looked ok. Prices were ok too.

I will start off by saying...Denny's has not been the same for me for a little under 20 years. Most of the Denny's locations I have been to have always left me with regret on even going to eat at one. Most Denny's locations aren't the greatest esthetically and the atmosphere in any restuarant is a huge part of the dinning experience. Now, I only stopped at this specific Denny's location to use the restroom. Traffic was horrible as usual when you're commuting in the 405, and we all know how horribly hard it is to find a restroom...especially one that you can drop the numbers and not feel dirty after. Like all locations in the city, you normally have to be a customer to use the restroom...so of course I ordered a meal. When I got seated it was quick and I immediately asked for a decaf coffee and briskly walked to the restroom. When I returned the waitress brought me my decaf beverage and I could tell she was kind enough to wait until I returned which I appreciated. After my restroom emergency was handled and I sat down. I was able to norice my surroundings. Normally, all the Denny's locations I have been to in the past 20 years have looked terrible and are pretty dirty. This location is actually pretty nice and quaint, and fairly clean. After I had some time to look at the menu the waitress came right when I closed it and set it aside. She nicely took my order and I didn't feel rushed at all. The waitresses name was Gabriela, and if anyone in management at this location reads this...just know, Gabriela made me want to come back in the future. I ordered the multi grain pancake meal. I got the eggs over medium and coupled it with sausage and bacon. When I've ordered this meal at other locations it typically never looks like the picture, and not in a good way. When my food came it actually looked good, and I was pretty amazed th as t it looked edible. I just wanna say this before I continue. I had a protein shake before I got on the road to start my commute home, so keep in mond I was not hungry. The Denny's I have been to in the past always had flavorless hash brown and eggs, and the pancakes were always hard to eat because the flavor was not there. Oh, and the sausage and bacon were always burnt and cold. I can say I have been disappointed with restaurant pancakes for half my life and especially at Denny's. Today I was surprised! The food had flavor, wasn't cold, and the pancakes were very good. I don't know what the cook is doing in the back, but he made some good food today. For all you out there...I would say you should come to this Denny's if you are in the area, but normally when any restuarant becomes well known, even a chain restuarant, people go and food quality goes down. Sooo...I'm not going to say if your in the area and craving Denny's to stop by at this location. However, if you have a bathroom emergency and need somewhere "to go". Just know you won't be wasting your money as a customer at this Denny's location.

The Thanksgiving turkey dinner was surprisingly decent. That's not a slight towards this particular Denny's, mind you. I've just never really had anything but a homecooked meal on Thanksgiving until today. The stuffing/dressing was easily the best thing.

My last visits to a Dennys was below subpar. I had told myself I wouldn’t go to another one again anytime soon, but here I am, at another Denny’s. This one in a nice area of Los Angeles. I ordered the All-America Slam with over medium eggs, sausage, bacon, and hash browns. It came with my choice of white toast or English muffin. I’d have preferred sourdough, but they said they didn’t carry any other bread than white or English muffin. I overheard a server whose name is Jason telling another customer who also wanted a different kind of toast “I didn’t take it off the menu, they did so that’s that”. Pretty darn rude if you ask me. When my food arrived 4 minutes after ordering, I knew things wouldn’t be great, but expected half decent, which was an over expectation apparently. The hash browns were dry and whispy, the eggs were barely over easy, the bacon was more limp than wilted lettuce, and the toast, well it was toast. Point being, just bleh. I won’t return to another Dennys again unless I see a reason to give them a try, or I’m desperate and starving after not haven eaten for 3-5 days. Dennys used to be Americas Diner, but now it seems to be Americas Dump.
