DeLux Motel - Motel in Alorton - 4217 New Missouri Ave, USA

A good place and safe and cozy little rooms here. I appreciate the whole family and appreciate they're Kindness

This motel has down to very basic service - a nice shower, a quiet and comfortable sleep, and a stable high speed WiFi. Other than those, there is no hair dryer, no hanger, no luggage rack, no coffee, no ice (I didn't find the ice machine).||||The room is small. Bathroom has no extra countertop for personal toiletries. Our non-smoking room had smoke smell and an ash tray!||||The only highlight was the owner family was very nice and helpful.||||For this price, I'd rather choose other motels around this area.

I had a really horrible experience. I booked a non-smoking room, but when i arrived all they had was a smoking room. They said they would give me half off, but when I got my bill it was the full-charge. When I called to have them credit half the reservation they said I would have to come in person. I live three hours away. After multiple calls they continued to insist that was the only option. So apparently, you can book online or by phone but they can't credit you. In addition during the calling back and forth the owner, who doesn't speak adequate English hung up on me when I asked for his employee by name (that I had been speaking to). He seemed to think I was asking to talk with a guest. Don't understand why he didn't understand the name of his own employee or why he thinks hanging up is the answer or why he is a business owner without adequate English. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND STAYING AT THIS PLACE!

The first impression, arriving on a stormy night, was not good at all, but the room was surprisingly clean, and by clean I mean walls and doors clean besides floor, bed and bathroom, and most importantly, we had two nights of good sleep. The bed was very comfortable, there was a TV, mini fridge and microwave (no coffee), and no noises during night, just early morning, most guests seem to be workers. You can tell the owner is concerned with keeping the place as safe as possible, that's why he's got all this weird rules like don't stand outside your door or walk around the parking lot. The area might not be the best, but it was the best price we found and we would go back there.

So I must say first of all when I walked into the room I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the room was considering the location. The owners of this property have really tried to make the property very nice and for that I definitely give them kudos. The bed was extremely comfortable. I cannot say enough good things about the bed. There was a good-sized TV in the room which was a definite plus and they had a lot of cable channels which was another great Plus the phone came with the refrigerator and a microwave which again all plus is especially at the price point. However I did have some concerns number one there was absolutely no HVAC in the bathroom so it was freezing cold even though that It was beautiful it was freezing cold and the heater in the room did not heat the entire room and the bathroom properly enough makeup for the extremely cold but large bathroom.

My room, 110 single king, is very nice considering the price I paid, $45.00. No complaints. Not a whole lot of parking but staff was cool with me taking up 4 spots to be able to jackknife truck and trailer into a spot. Not a place for kids or goody good families. Rough looking crowd.

The general manager Priyang (short and looks Indian/Pakistani) was very rude and unwelcoming from the start. I did not like his hospitality nor (lack of) respect for his customers. The hotel does look like it is in a shady area with barred windows you can't see through and all types of intrusive paranoid rules for protection. Apparently, I just found out there is no hot water. Outside of him, the other staff member, an elderly cleaning man was very nice and helpful. The price is good and the room looks clean for now. I would not recommend this place in terms of service if dealing with Priyang. If service was improved my recommendation would change greatly. He left a very bad first impression from the start (e.g. impolite, prejudiced, intrusive, paranoid, not present when we first arrived, cold, unhelpful, poor communication, etc.) and did so repeatedly without apology. One of the worst first impressions I've seen at a motel.

Keep to your self and mind you know one will mind you. And man make sure you leave the place as you checked in. It's the best place for a hole in the wall ever. Thank you DeLux!
